Same thing I was going to say. I have not read the article yet, but if the clarification is made that the KH does not belong to the congregation, then I can not expect them to blatantly admit that it belongs to the organization. They may imply it (as they are that much legalistic) but they are not going to print it ( I would be shock if they do). Therefore in most JW minds they are going to conclude... "Duh!, we already knew this, the KH really belongs to Jehovah, even if we hold a legal title to it."

billboard raising awareness of the dangers of the jehovah's witness cult.. short summary.

millions of people's lives are being adversely affected every day by jehovah's witnesses' (also known as jw.org) harmful teachings of shunning former members, refusal of certain kinds of medical treatment, social isolation, and harboring of child molesters.

the goal of this campaign is to sponsor a billboard that will be targeted to current members traveling to the belton, tx conventions july 31st - aug 9th 2015. these conventions attract thousands of current members and hundreds of prospective members.

wife and i have not reported a single hour of fs in 3-4 months.

while my wife is mostly doing for me (positive thing), i know she would have rather done it.

elder asked me to turn in my fs report this past week and then he added... "we need to talk".

LOL. Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't want to send ripples thru the family just yet. My wife is actually playing it really cool, which is not shocking but at first she wanted to do her own thing and continue with FS. Not sure exactly why she stuck to me but I am glad she shows signs of putting our family first. I think saying that "is private and personal" is probably the best answer. I must thread carefully anyway, I believe my mother-in-law suspects something is up (she lives with us). This cong and some of its elders have shown to be the type that, when they don't get a direct answer, they begin to question relatives. In fact, a couple of years ago, my own wife was questioned in my absence (I was out of town for work). I got really mad at that but she asked me to play it nice. I said I would, but I have not forgotten. If they do it again, I don't know how I am going to react.

Memorial attendance up or down on last year?

and was the one you attended at an early or late time of the evening.. any partakers?.

If attendance was up by any chance, is most likely due to the coincidence on the date. At least where I am, most people would not spare time to attend multiple ceremonies. Given that Good Friday and the memorial felt on the same day, then chances are some people may have chosen to attend the JW memorial. I know of at least one "sister" (she is DFd) who I have not seen at the hall in years, showed up this Sunday but left early.

i realised something today.... we all happily accepted something really ridiculous.....something that if worded how i will word it now, we would have rejected as ridiculous, but after a moments thought, would have to concede.. we once followed the governing body because we believed they had supernatural powers.

how ridiculous you may say, no we didn't!

of or relating to things that cannot be explained according to natural laws.

Don't let any of this insult you. As much as it is true on this and any other religion. I tend to think most of the ones that are critical thinkers, only accepted some form of initial contact with the religion because it was brought to them by someone they trusted. You are unlikely to listen to such message from a total stranger. That is why nowdays most of the growth comes from within.
