It's a corporate cult with a religious front. You don' get out without some retribution. You don't quit like you quit a job. You might well find that as you turn your back on the borg that you get shot in the back by their spiritual hit men. Organized religion/organized crime.

The WTS and questions of its ownership.
by greendawn inthe gb of the wts has to clarify the issue of the wts ownership by choosing one of the two points below as the valid one but not both.
1. the wts is an organisation belonging to humans, a business that just like any other human business has its owners that demand to have the right to exert total control over its affairs and to exclude from it all outsiders.
these owners are the shareholders, unknown in this case.

The GB are surrounded by yes men and suck-ups. Any problems that the R&F have is their own fault...if only bro and sis would do more in field service, pray more, study the WT publications harder quit asking questions, they would be fine. Of course, how much experience does the GB have living outside their Ivory tower in the world occupied by their drones.

I think Ray was trying to get the Org to be kinder and gentler with more compassion and greater latitude in matters of conscience. It didn't work. Since then the borg has tightened up and I don't see much evidence of a change in direction yet. Sure someone may leave or get the boot like Chitty and Greenlees but I would be suprised if there are any GB members with a conscience like Ray's. They appear to be organization men today.

Your kids will be fine. Mine have done ok and grown into good balanced young adults...as for your being destroyed...forgrt it, that's the Borgs control tactic...do as we say or zap...forget it, it's not going to happen. I guarantee that if you stay away from the WT you'll look back and shake your head at some of the feelings and beliefs you once had. You and your family will be fine but keep coming back here, you'll find a lot of support, many, many of us have been in similar situations.

anyhow ive tried reasoning with here concerning scripture only to have her say that she doesnt really now but will ask someone (elder).
so in an attempt to discredit the wtbs i purchased some materials from watchmen on the false dates and doctrine reversals.

Good luck. It's not easy. I hope the suggestions here work. It sounds as if the JW's have got their hooks in her pretty deep already. If she trusts them more than she trusts you, brace yourself for either a relationship from hell or more likely they will pressure her into breaking up with you, unless you join too. DON'T!
