i love this site, i really do.
it has helped thousands upon thousands of people to sort things out, and see ttatt.
i would like to propose something to help with the healing process and help people become ex-exjw's, if possible.
This site has no specific barrier(apart from the conditions we have agreed to)apart from that each one may start a topic on whatever sub they wish , if someone is interested enough they'll respond.simple really.

i have a number of problems with the noah's ark story that i could never find the answer to in the bible and so i thought i could ask here:.
1.how did noah get animals that are indigenous to areas he could not get to (e,g penguins, koalas, kangaroos, moose etc) .
2.the flood supposedly happened around 4000 years ago but there is evidence of civilisation dating back a lot further.
Slightly of thread, but regarding the water canopy and the earth being perfect and comfortable for gods creatures. I remember an article in the awake sorry don't have exact date probably 70s.under heading nature's radiator or akin to that describing an animal which had an inbuilt cooling system as it lived in conditions so hot tgat other creatures would not survive in.Why would it have such a system if it was created into a comfortable world for all creatures to live in.
I think the article writer shot himself in the foot as it would seem to uphold the evolutionary process.

The human brain will always strive for answers its how we are wired, but that wiring in conjunction with the physicality of its make up must have limitations, as can be seen from some responses on this forum.My own included of course

What bearing on our lives, whatever happened we are all the result.Its surely more important how we exist NOW , and our dealings with our fellowman for the good.

Creation(bring into being) by whatever method, personally I think is beyond the comprehension of the human brain.Its physical make up must have a limit no matter how clever we are.

Lets all call it the greatest oxymoron of all time and that the seemingly most complicated answers are in fact the most simple.
Where does it actually have a great bearing on us as individuals?
If we are able to control our own destinations, what do we really want in our lives.
For me it boils down to love for our fellow man starting with our nearest and dearest.
If you allow anything to stand in the way of that you are inviting a life full of hurt and uncertainty.

Emeth, are you seriously saying there was a cavern filled with enough water to flood the world, then the cavern was was emptied and after 40 days it filled up again?
When you say it's peanuts for god to do, it's more likely peanuts for your brain to consider such non,..sense.
You are clutching at straws with that reasoning.
Obviously you are resorting to the god must have mentality and by so doing are insulting your own intelligence.
It is an ancient story which has been proved to be an absolute impossibility.
Only time may bring you to understand this .I hope someday you will find that clarity.

Emeth,... if there is a vast cavern /reservoir, you would have to believe it did not exist around 4000 yrs ago ie before the assumed worldwide flood.
Assuming it did exist(which if its there would be indisputable) the volume of water would already be accounted for, which would annul that argument.

ALL of these writings are by the hand of man, if you believe there is a supernatural element to ANY of them , thats where you must start any questioning as to their authenticity/purpose .
Otherwise do you cede your intelligence , and how to live YOUR own life to charlatans?
as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

i tried to search for a similar topic but couldnt find one.. anyway, i am an active jw or is it jehovah's witness?.
recently i noticed a trend, mainly found between teenagers and older techie brothers, of referring to themselves as jws.
They always bang on about emulating 1st cent xians, but when it boils down to it they cant resist the pull and influence of modernism, although they try to wrap it in a cloak of biblical justification for the rank & file who soak it up with relish.
Any xian from the 1st cent wouldn't have a clue what they were all about whether JW or Jehovahs witness, of course the 8 guys in New York would tell them where they are wrong of course!! HYPOCRITS!!!
