  This is all about mind control no matter what rendering of the scripture is used.

  As phizzy points out its a way of convincing the R&F that a demon is lurking in

  every questioners mind.

  Do they not realise it was only by questioning and even obsesivness by the old

  brigade of their organisation that has resulted in the organisation they

  have aligned themselves with today ie obsessed with money, business sold

  through the medium of religion , one of the biggest money spinners

  of the gullible known to man.(check the accounts JWs).

  DOT , you obviously do not see the contradiction in your statements re blessing of gradual understanding.

  Where in the scriptures does anyone talk about being blessed with gradual understanding.

  You also avoided explaining , at what point did the blessing come?

  Ask yourself, why would there be any blessing before the correct understanding was achieved.

  Do you think god would bless incomplete or wrong understanding?

  You cannot deny there has been many examples of wrong understanding/calculations etc,

  My own brother (an elder) has admitted this himself as well as others I have spoken to,

  A JW I talked to at a literature street cart also told me " I dont think we (the JWs )have 100% truth

  I think you know you are just towing the party line,

  You are DEFINATELY! NOT DEFENDING any truth, WAKE UP and think for youself not those 8 men

  who now claim to be the F, D.S. in New York or wherever they rest their hypocritical buts.

  D O T, ..Can I refer you to your previous post 16 . You clearly state ," our core beliefs remain unchanged though

  which is further EVIDENCE we have BEEN BLESSED with gradual understanding.

  At what point in the gradual understanding did the blessing take place?

  Will there be a CORRECT understanding at some point?

  Or is each graduation seen as correct ie truth . You really have to be pretty screwed

  to accept this.It basically means you will accept whatever those 8 guys come up with

  WITHOUT QUESTION!!

  IN post 17 you state the previous understanding was "not blessed" so I ask you again at what point was the gradual

  understanding blessed even a gradual process has a beginning.

  Again I would suggest you start to think for yourself and not be a pawn to those 8 men that you idolise.

  DOT you say your organisation has been" blessed with further understanding".

  Would you say therefore that the previous understanding was/was not blessed?

  Why would god bless a wrong or incomplete understanding?

  Does he/she/it not want us to know or is it a god game?

  You seem to be playing it but not really winning.

  Notice at the end of the statement in the awake they also say"at times it has been necessary as understanding became clearer

  to CORRECT views" .Is not to "CORRECT" to be free from error/true. Why then have they changed their views even after corrections? F.D.S being an example among many others!!!

  i stopped believing in god in july 2013. in the first 3 months or so i felt liberated and relieved that i can live my life anyway i wanted without worrying about an invisible being watching my every move.

  i also felt slightly superior that i was able to figure out that god isn't real while the majority of mankind continued to be fooled.

  atfer the feelings of excitment statrted to wear off, i started to become more depressed and empty.

  Space m is your conclusion;..believe in God and be happier? If so your research should include study into that specific subject.

  Consider the consequences of God influenced hatred towards those with differing beliefs .

  Do you have statistics on the cost to humanity?

  Ranging from whole countries to family units to individuals.

  Surely better to live a life based on love than statistics.

  The JWs have no truth to defend. They would have to decide which version to accept.would it be the truth they were born into? Or the truth at whatever time they were introduced to the religion, or the current version which they must accept could change without their contribution.All these are various versions of what they like to term" the truth". Knowing this they must accept this term the truth could change in the future as it has in the past.

  The problem they have of course is truth cannot change so by accepting as they must if they are honest and have sound reasoning that what they believed as truth has changed(this is a time for honesty) then the only thing they could possibly try to defend is their man made organizations interpretations not truth.
