  The GB recants its former stance and says that the Catholic Church is the true way to salvation.

  Press release reads like this:

  "Suprisingly, 7 million Jehovah's Witnesses made a major Exodus today and joined the RCCs in their faith. Leaders of the WTB&TS are quoted as saying "We finally realized the superiority of the RCCs doctrine, and that we were dead wrong. The Trinity, our Lord dying on the Cross, and the holy sanctity of the priesthood - these are issues on which we were dead wrong. Praise Jesus!"

  A question for my friends in the USA about cowboys.

  as a kid growing up in the uk we used to play 'cowboys and indians' and watch high chaparal and bonanza along with other cowboy films.

  later, in the 70's kung fu would be shown with caine going through the 'old west'.

  we even had a chocolate bar that was marketed with a 'cowboy' theme...milky bar.. as far as i know the 'wild west' as shown on tvdidn't actually exist.. are there people that believe it did?.

  Rub a Dub, I'm sorry, wasn't dissing you, but being a bit silly, but in the framwork of bieng a 'cowboy', set off from most folks, and decision-making, I do think Animal was the 'cowboy' in that way ............ the guy who has no fear, and does what 'needs to be done', crazy mofo he was.

  lol, sweetie. I hope not! :P He had a long and coloured drinking career, including wife-beating. Although he seems to be much more stable in his 70s, lol, nope, you wouldn't want to be him! Except for maybe, healing in his old age and making amends :P

  My own impression, after reading a bit a couple of years ago, is that the 'white' American cowboys were people very similar to today, who chose to live outside of the cultural norm for personal reasons. Some were adventure-seekers, others were social misfits (hate that word, but it conveys what I am meaning to say) who chose to live more-or-less outside of society's rules, and also, those who loved nature and chose to live 'under the open sky' for the pure love of it.

  It's a fascinating part of history ....... both American and other cultures .......... :))
