JW's & eBay
by The Fall Guy ini just came across a pair of jw's on ebay who are flogging off nearly 2000 "religious" items.. is it just me, or are jw's hypocrites when they make cash by selling old light publications which now contain "wrong teachings," or much worse, by selling books etc.
which were created by members of apostate christendom and contain teachings which contradict their self-appointed "faithful slave?
is there a bible example/principle here?.

In the past, it was considered a sign of spirituality when a JW had an extensive library of JW publications at home.
I am very curious whether this will still be the case in the future. Presumably this will be seen much more as a sign of apostasy in the future.
Since the society has been making profits with the sale of the halls for many years (which also belong to the JWs and which were paid for by them), the inhibition threshold of a normal JW has completely disappeared with the sale of old publications.
The Rank&File sees how the society has initiated its own websites for the sale of cars or tools. And if possible at top prices. Cars and tools, all paid for by the "normal" JWs.
Why should you therefore feel remorse when selling old books?

NO
*** w04 5/15 p. 29 Questions From Readers ***
If we are God’s servants with an earthly hope, we have not been anointed with holy spirit. Nevertheless, we can have just as much of God’s spirit as those with the heavenly hope.
*** w96 6/15 p. 31 Questions From Readers ***Questions From ReadersCan we say that God’s servants today who have the earthly hope have as much of God’s spirit as do spirit-anointed Christians? This question is not a new one. This same matter was addressed in “Questions From Readers” in The Watchtower of April 15, 1952. Many have become Witnesses since then, so we can consider the question and in the process review what that earlier material said.Fundamentally, the answer is, yes, faithful brothers and sisters of the other sheep class can share equally with anointed ones in receiving God’s holy spirit.—John 10:16....The Lord’s spirit is available in equal portions to both classes, and knowledge and understanding are offered equally to both, with equal opportunities for absorbing it.” -

Keep your CD.
I'am missing the yearbooks in the current library.
But I'am not 100% shure, that they were on the old CD. -

Advice on Disassociating
by HiddenPimo inhello my exjw/pimo/pomo friends,.
i am working on penning my da letter and wondered if i should use it as a tool to maybe wake up individuals as the boe will have to read it.. anyone have any advice on what i should say versus what i should leave out?
i am not going to fade as my family can either be loyal to blood or loyal to a man made religion.

If you DA, you just playing by their rules......
Only, if I write a DA letter. I went a different way so I wouldn't play by their rules.
In Germany you can leave the JW as you have to leave any other recognized religion, via the local registry office or the local district court. That costs 30 Euro and you get an officially certified letter about the withdrawal.
I have done it this way. This also influences the statistics on church resignations in Germany, which the JWs do not like at all.
Shortly afterwards 2 elders visited me and wanted to know, if I really mean my resignation, because this kind of resignation is not usual for a JW. Translated into JW-speak: I didn't quit according to their rules.
Probably then the 2 elders have entered in my "file" - that I have announced my resignation towards 2 elders. But I don't care, because I have the official letter of my city about my leaving the religion.

01. Big lie. That number doesn't prove anything. Or do 15 million Mormons prove that they are not a cult and that they own the truth alone?
02. What is that supposed to say when at the same time he conceals that 795 people leave religion every day?
03. Big lie. Not adomished by Christ - ADOMISHED by the facefull and discreet slave.
04. Big lie for the first World War. And the poster also refers to JWs in 1914 - see point 17.
05. Other religions are also persecuted and thrown into prison.
06. But at home in front of the TV the JWs cheer on the sports team of their country and celebrate only the goals of their own national team.
07. Big lie. The same lie as birthdays and Christmas that JWs give each other gifts all year round.
When teenagers JWs want to celebrate a party, there are chaperones. They take care not to drink too much alcohol, if there is alcohol at all. They make sure that kingdom songs are played - many "worldly" songs would not be allowed. They watch what games are played. They pay attention to what is said and that no foul words or jokes are told. They make sure that the party ends early so that everyone is fit for the next morning fieldservice. A boy and a girl must never be alone without observation. That's supposed to be a party????
08. Big lie.
09. Big lie. Millions of the JW are born in it. Many were baptized when they were less than 10 years old. Even when one was baptized at 14 or 15, this was usually done by group pressure from the religious community.
12. Big lie. Taking a magazine (at the front door or on a cart) does not mean that it is being read.
14. Big lie. Can I really as a single brother stay overnight with any single sister? (at ANY JW home)
16. Big lie. The JWs have "normal" printing presses like other companys - MEPS = Typesetting software for multilingual print pieces
17. Big lie. When the photodrama was 1914 produced, there were no Jehovah's Witnesses. Members of the movement have variously referred to themselves as Bible Students, International Bible Students, Associated Bible Students, or Independent Bible Students.

I love all the little "easter eggs" in the video.
Here are some of them:
"Governing Body MILLSTONE"
"Avoid JW ORG"
"The Watchtower announcing JWBORG"
"Free Spanx with every purchase"
"Tony's complete Suit of Tight Pants"
"50% Sale NASTY Memorial Wine"
"Bottle Anointed King"

*** w19 February p. 10 par. 11 Seek Meekness and Please Jehovah ***
When persecuted: Throughout history, human rulers have persecuted Jehovah’s people. They may charge us with various “crimes,” but the real issue is that we choose to “obey God as ruler rather than men.” (Acts 5:29) We might be ridiculed, imprisoned, or even physically mistreated. With Jehovah’s help, however, we will not retaliate but will remain mild throughout the test.
Nothing about Romans 13:1-4.
