  No doubt many endeavor to celebrate the supposed date of Jesus’ birth in a dignified way. Nevertheless, the article gave clear evidence that (1) Jesus never authorized any such celebration, (2) Jesus’ birth must have taken place in September/October (not December), and (3) many of the customs associated with Christmas are clearly of pagan origin. So the issue confronting those desiring to please God in their worship is, not how such a celebration might be carried on, but whether Christmas in any form has God’s approval.

  just got back from watching jw.stream presentation at our local kh of a 'special' meeting at ursus assembly hall in warsaw.

  all the congs in the country were tied in, but some will be watching replay later in the day.

  there were 3 parts.

  WOW - that is the first offical mention of the new JW business cards (with JW.ORG) for all publishers. So family Splane is still using them already.

  Advice, TTATT or Bible

  i really starting to see the problems with the bible and it being influenced by other cultures, religions and also the fact that many of the books or letter were written after the fact or so called prophecy.

  so i am wondering would it work better to try to wake my children to ttatt about the jw cult or work on destroying the bible and its credibility?

  As a 3rd generation JW "kid" I was always told NEVER to lie, because satan is the father of the lie and jehovah hates the lie.

  i have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.

  question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.

  with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

  JWs survive Armageddon.
  How many dentists will be among this surviving JWs?
  Enough to medicate all?

  A clear NO.

  Also a clear fact (for me), that it can NOT last 1000 years to get human perfection.

  Another point: the resurrected will have perfect teeth (god can not resurrect imperfect humans - because all his doing is perfect).
  So after Armageddon there will be 2 classes of people: surviving JWs with imperfect teeths, and resurrected with perfect teeth.

  WTS governing body changes - how have all those claiming to be anointed been exposed as liars?

  in juan viejo2s recent thread about district overseer and other changes coming this bit was quite intriguing to me.. the governing body will be expanded to 12 to better match the biblical magic number of apostles, tribes of israel, etc.

  that will also reset the 'magic number' to 8 needed to get a majority vote to make a doctrinal change.... one of my friends suggests that "annointed" will become synomous with "appointed.

  " if a brother is "appointed" to the governing body, then the logic is that he has automatically been "annointed" by holy spirit and would therefore be considered to be part of the 144k.. .

  I think, it will be NOT a big deal for the rank & file.

  Because they do it today with the elders and the ms. They say, elders & ms are appointed by holy spirit.

  Nobody care about - why should they care about for the GB-members? The majority not even know the names of the GB-members.

  Actual WT doctrine is, that Jehovah will solve this problem in a simlar matter (maybe special radiation), like Noah and his familiy had nothing to do with dead bodys.

  Gerritt Lösch told on his last Zone visit in Europe (2011) the total opposit - that we will have to bury all of the dead bodies - but the actual WT literature does not support this.

  The prophecy of Revelation also describes the destruction of Satan’s earthly forces, giving the invitation to the birds to come to “the great evening meal of God.” (Rev. 19:17) On a previous occasion an avowed enemy of God was devoured by dogs, leaving only a few bones to bury.
