My first post
by thewalker inhi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.
as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.
that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.

I always ask 2 questions:
1.) Where in the bible I can find, that elders can speak with DF persons and other JWs not?
2.) Where in the bible I can find, that I can eat with my DF child, if it is living in my house and I can not if he/she has a different ZIP-Code?

Review of the November 15 study article - "Stand Firm in the Faith"
by Divergent inthis study article poses questions that we should ask ourselves.
don't have time to analyze the whole thing, so will start from paragraph 8:.
8 do gods promises seem less real to me now than they once did?

§17.... Imagine yourself in the new world. Write about or draw what you will do in Paradise. Or make a list of resurrected people you would like to talk with and what you would like to say to them....
Like someone here wrote about this:
One more trick cults use to bypass critical thinking skills - telling you to imagine something. Imagination operates completely independent from logical thought and critical thinking (which is part of what makes it so useful to is) but it still can create the same emotion as a real event.

If I understand it correct, then these languages have:
3 instead of 6 WT (public edition)
and
3 instead of 12 WT (study edition)
Seems to me, the rank & file gave not enough money for translation offices/houses, so they have to reduce it. Or the 25% less Bethelites worldwide could not handle all the translation work. Or the rank & file gave not enough money to the WT and insteed of stopping the production (like India) they reduced the amount of WTs.

Do You Think 10% Tithing is Coming?
by xjwsrock infirstly, there are cash flow problems in wt town.
i don't think it's necessary to list all the cutbacks and layoffs, but there have been many.. their thirst for money seems higher too in my opinion.
more entitled may be a better way of putting it.

do you hink 10% tithing coming?
NO.
*** w75 6/1 p. 324 Millions Have Left the Churches—Should You? ***
A lot of JWs have problems with all the changings and "new lights".
WHY DO THEY LEAVE?
The reasons that people give for abandoning the churches are many and varied. Some in West Germany do it in order to be relieved of paying the church tax. More often, however, the reason involves changes in Roman Catholic teaching in recent years. These have confused many persons who thought that they had the true apostolic religion. As one Catholic priest in the United States put it: “If the things the Church has said in the last ten years are true, then everything it said for the last 2,000 years is false.”
Which JW can explain the new generation teaching?
Thiting will be last nail in the coffin for some JWs. -

Latest and greatest from Warwick
by Warwickslave injust received two emails .
recently, it was announced that the warwick whq project will be completed by september 1, 2016. with a little less than 10 months left to go on the project, the construction project committee recently met with representatives from all eleven warwick construction groups throughout the u.s. the purpose of this meeting was to determine what can be done to more effectively continue the wonderful progress being made.
as a result, it has been determined that, for the duration of the project, all warwick construction groups will focus on sending experienced, skilled tradespersons who have regularly worked in their trade(s)in a secular environment.

Didn't they have an article about Brothers/Sisters leaving their wives/husbands and families for a time period to go to work in another state or country? If I remember correctly, the branch did not speak favorably of a man/woman leaving her/his wife/husband and family to do this. I believe they insinuated that the brother or his wife may be put in a precarious situation while they were apart. As usual, if it is to benefit the WT, the same rules do not apply.
HYPOCRITES!!Here it is - the study WT from April 2014:

JW Religion same as Stock Market/Gambling (Concept)
by Da.Furious infor the last few days i was discussing with a colleague of mine at work about the stock market and how some people, even when losing money, they will hold onto their shares because someone said they will rise again.
this may lead to lost opportunities or even losing all their money instead of de-risking and offsetting loses by buying another stock, in other word jumping ship.. this got me thinking about jws (knowing that i am still in).
took one step back and looked at our family and what we have done by sticking to this religion.

One brother in our congregation was setting his JW "stopp-loss" for the year 1975.
He said: If there is no great tribulation until January the first of 1976 - I am out.
He ist out since this date. He understood the stockmarket (great analogie Da.Furious)
