as of nov. 13th i won?t be able to check out this board as often as i would like.
after 9 years, the 14th is my final day working for the military (active duty army, then civil service job).
my husband resigned from the marines and is currently working in management and so we?ll be moving to a new location nov. 19th
I was a stay at home mom and have never regretted it. Yes, there were a lot of sacrifices as the sole income from the kids dad was low, also. There are plenty of things I wish I'd done different; staying with my little ones isn't one.
Find some other families with your values. You'll network with other stay at home moms. I'll be thinking of you.

some time back, when i was heading to work, a woman sat beside me in the subway car.
after a few moments, she glared at me, and said, ?can?t you move your knees closer together????
being accustomed to hearing stupid, trivial complaints, my response was quick.
Reminds me of my mom and sib's. They are "the happiest people on earth" and yet most conversations with them go like this, one of the things that "awakened" me to reality. I feel sorry for them; it's all they really have but they're difficult to endure.
my jw neighbor wasn't able to come on monday after all, but we rescheduled our meeting for today (wednesday).
on monday, i had a bit of material around, and my next-door neighbor stopped in.
i found out that she was in a bible study with some jws!
Bebu, how did you become so knowlegable about jw's? You would have been my nightmare householder! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. As far as I'm concerned, you're an honorary apostate already!

Hang in there. What you're feeling is normal. You've been brainwashed and sometimes the residue comes back to try to reactivate the guilt and fear. Yes, the wts gets members on fear. You've been promised perfection in a paradise earth and sometimes the reality of life gets us down. This very life we're living right now is worthwhile! You can and will accomplish so much. Hang in there and ask for all the help you need.
Go outside and smell the fresh air. Go get a cup of your favorite coffee. Listen to your favorite music. Please take care of yourself.

what was the first computer you ever owned?
for me it was the trs-80 model 1. i bought it for $10 at a second hand store when i was 10 years old.
took me forever to find info on the thing, an manual, and a patchcord to hook up a cassette deck.
It was an Atari but you're too young to remember them!
