Executed Jehovah's Witness under Hitler were more Christian than Jdubs
by suavojr inhas anyone noticed how the phraseology of this letter is so far away from todays jw theology and idioms used?
do you notice what word is missing?
how would any of us be viewed in the congregations if we were to speak or write this way?

Extremely powerful, heartbroken, and touchy to the core of the soul. Young guy died because he is not willing go to war for his faith. ...I want to work, but I just can’t shoot.... Strong believe in Lord and promised Paradise. -

I would say, run, run away, and don't look back. Or help her to leave the cult, but you will be the reason why she won't have a family anymore as everyone will shun her. Do not think that marrying to JW will allow you parallel faith without huge problems. For many JWs, organization and cult is foremost, and they are willing to sacrifice everything, even the life of their children in the name of "Truth". I would recommend for you to break up nicely. Madly in love does not last, and you will collect only sour grapes.

There were some good men who were like fatherly figure, genuine, and caring. It was visible that the stress on managing KH and all personal problems wore them down and they were overwhelmed. There was also an elder, who was a prisoner during Stalin era. He remained me someone who could be a brutish prison guard, no emotion, no compassion, treating others that they should tough it out. He was wifebeater and abusive to his children. And the rest were just morons. -

"Bisexuality seems to be quite unremarkable in Stuart times."
Renaissance era was extremely interesting time which produced several bisexual or gay men into the highest imperial circles in their time. The Holy Roman Emperor, Rudolph II (+1612), or Henry III of France(+1589).

...than a democratic government put there by USA,..
With exception of postwar West Germany, all forced democracies collapsed or did not materialized. Democratic system is internal mechanism and cannot be implemented from abroad. Successful democracies after 1975 only got established after its own citizens went to path to democracy like Spain, entire Central-East Europe. Other attempts are just failure (Iraq, Libya, Serbia) in past 25 years. After 25-70 years of democratic experiment in Europe, the democracy and freedom is receding. Ultra liberal multi-culti are scared of elections, and they are not even hiding to cancel election process to be routed out at the poll. What happened in Poland couple days ago is far reaching political shift in European union than economic collapse of Greece. These articles from Marketwatch summarized nicely

European union is cracking into two places and Germans are not aware of it, Prologos. Economically, on the south (Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal), and politically along the former Eastern Block + Finland. Polish election last weekend changed the balance of power in EU, and will put Germany into smaller, Franco-German union pitying each other against the rest of Europe failed to understand their multicultural liberal vision of the Continent.
Russia wants to renew the control over Central Europe. They do not deny it and actually debating it on the media and TV for years. Significant majority of the population in the West wants to return into division of the Continent where Muslim population is welcomed and cherished, while Poles despised. However, Russia does not have the resources for the conquest, and it failed to take over Ukraine last year. They will be happy with just destabilization of Europe. Balkans is probably heading to the next war, as the relationship between states are worsening due refugee crisis, and Bosnia seems to head to civil war II.
East Germans are demonstrating in mass, where up to 30,000 people showed in Dresden, because they lived through Honecker communist propaganda. They do not believe the lies of the media that is presented to the public every day. It became significantly worse in past two years. From time to time I read German press, and it is milder version of the 1980's Soviet press under Gorbachev. The trend to twist news as they are happening is obvious to anyone who lived under communism. I score British press higher than German. In 2014 German freedom of press felt below the Czech, and this means a lot, because Czech media are losing freedom as well since the death of Václav Havel in 2011. During his presidency, Czech media were among freest in the world, I think they were fifth one point.
I am more worried on the erosion of the freedom and overall democracy than economic under-performance. However, it was the liberal-left media that caused the freedom to of press, speech, media to suffer, where only one opinion is allowed, and anyone who disagree with them is labeled as right-wing nationalist, extremist, and so on. In Poland they tried to suppress any debate on refugee crisis last month, last weekend the liberal-left was swept from the power.

Thanks you - the response of the German people has been inspiring.
Not totally true. People in Dresden feel otherwise. Weekly demonstration, people beat up by police like under Honecker regime. German press lying to the public with rampant disinformation. EU is disintegrating as we speak. Schengen is caput, gone, collapsed. Germany opened gates to illegal immigration. Now when they cannot handle it, they demand Poland, Czechs and Slovaks to house them. This will not happen, even under threat of war. Hostile rhetoric against Eastern states from France, Germany and today from Dutch Jeroen Dijsselbloem are just empty threats. Any confrontation between Germany and post-election Poland due refugee crisis will only destabilize already failed EU experiment.
EU is financially broken. Average European has lower living standard than Americans. States from Greece to Germany are strained by huge public debt. They cannot handle additional masses of unproductive people, while at the same time there is 125 millions Europeans living in poverty. Social nest is already depleted by the immigration and states will be forced to rise taxes. Who are the Westerners going to blame? Poland or Hungary? 85% of the refugees will NOT WORK according to the official report by Swiss parliament done in 2014:

"crisis/war is over a vast majority of those refugees will return to their own countries"
This is the funniest, most ridiculous, and naive statement on this threat.

Another personal experience I have traveling back to Czech Republic is any visit in the Northern Bohemia and Moravia. Some places are extremely dangerous. While Prague is safe and has much lower crime rate than Copenhagen, Berlin, or Stockholm, the industrial north is overrun by crime. The government invested a huge amount of money to keep Prague safe and it is done for tourist business and visitors. Foreigner will never venture to large industrial cities in the north where people get killed, beaten, robbed, and raped all the time. Cities like Most, Ostrava, Karvina, Usti, Varnsdorf, are dangerous. Almost everyone is armed. After dark, cities are deserted. I feel often less safe there than on Manhattan. In small communities without present and permanent police force, gun can mean survival. This was not like that in the 1990's or even first half of the 2000's. Since 2011 some communities were put under militarized police control in the Czech Republic to suppress demonstrations, crime, and violence due collapsing public order.

Yes, the article is correct in the way, that number of guns among population is increasing. However, there immigration is only partial story. The other part missing from the article is failed states experiencing increasingly ineffective apparatus unable to deal with almost any issue lets be economy to social security to safety. The number of guns in the Central-East Europe is increasing, and coincide with the weakening of the centralized state and public safety. Czech Republic has liberal gun laws as is it has USA. They already had mass shooting in February 2015 when retiree gunned down people in the restaurant. People are arming because they do not believe state will protect them. The number of illegal guns in Central Europe is incredible. While immigrants are generally adding oil to the fire, the trend started years earlier.
Another big unspoken fear is that present neo-communist multi-culti ultraliberal regime will crack down on civic liberties. This already caused weakening such institutions of democracy like freedom of press and speech. Germany which used to be top five most free press country slipped 14 below the Czech Republic. Press is getting censured. Discussion are blocked, and people get prosecuted by government by disagreeing with handling current migrant crisis. In region which experienced both left and right wing dictatorship, people are not ready to be put to slaughter in the name some of the social experiment. People on the left, right, and middle are arming for that specific reason.
Very simple review is how passive was public in the 90's in Central Europe and radicalization today, where you can see mass demonstration all the time. Couple years ago, a dude stolen tank in the armory in Hungary and drive to it in front of parliament buildings. In Slovenia, people burned the town halls during the riots. Similar riots against government institution happened in Latvia. East Germany experiences large violent demonstrations on weekly basis. Yesterday bunch of people were injured in Dresden. German press even does not bother to report the evens at all. Huge demonstrations happened in the Czech Republic since 2011. Once the flood gate will open, I am pretty sure Europe will experience civil war between masses and the establishment. Immigrant crisis will strain the economy which still operates bellow 20088 level. Even wealthier countries like Netherlands and Finland never recovered to the pre-crisis level.
Look for problems in the under performing economy and nothing will change that. Over the weekend, liberals were totally routed out in Poland. While Polish economy expanded by 25% since the crisis, current young Polish generation will experience significant reduction of the living standard. Bad economy, ineffective state apparatus is always receipt for disaster.
