  another hockey season starting tonight, and will finish sometime next june with the stanley cup.. who is your favourite team and who do you think will win this trophy next june?.

  yep, you heard me right - i'm going back to the kingdom hall.

  my reason for going back is a very simple one.

  recently, after i evicted the book study from my mother's home, some of the jw's came to pick up the chairs.

  Sorry pettygrudger - I sure don't want to miss out on all the pinches!

  This particular congregation REALLY disliked me even when I was a JW, so I'm not doing it to be nice. I know they'll be VERY irritated by my showing up. I'll probably be escorted to the door.

  It's a toss up as to the contents - Silent Lambs info or porn. Hmmmmmm!

  Two years ago I rented a cottage for a week at Wasaga Beach and the place was infested with them, and they DO bite!!! I was bitten lots of times!

  Yep, you heard me right - I'm going back to the Kingdom Hall. Why, you may ask? Is it because I believe in the doctrines? Is it because I fear Armageddon? Is it because of pressure from family members? Is it because I miss the Christian love and upbuilding association I've been missing? Is it because Watchtower programming went too deep into my mind, and my brain cells are now irretrievable?

  NO to all of the above! My reason for going back is a very simple one. Recently, after I evicted the book study from my mother's home, some of the JW's came to pick up the chairs. Unfortunately, they forgot to take their little, EMPTY, contribution box. So, being the thoughtful person that I am, I will take it to them during one of their meetings to return it. Hopefully my entrance will disturb them a bit.

  i was talking to our new alignment tech johnny today.

  johnny's a bible-thumper and i'm agnostic, which makes for an interesting mix.

  I get plenty of opportunities to un-witness, and I take advantage of them! It would be interesting to know just how much time is spent un-witnessing by X-JW's. If you would subtract all the time JW's spend in coffee shops, we probably spend more time un-witnessing than they do witnessing. And probably with alot more enthusiasm.

  Does that make us un-pioneers?

  Cars at the Kingdom Hall

  the cars i've seen most in the kingdom hall parking lot: the familiar, dull 4-door car, the family minivan, or the old beater.

  sometimes the occasional 2-door car, which was generally frowned upon for service.

  ok, let's hear it... what kind of car did you drive when you were a dub?.

  The last vehicle I drove as a dub, which I still drive, is a 1998 Ford F150 Pickup. Before that I drove a 2 door van.

  The elders tried to give me a hard time about it, but in my opinion, as long as I'm paying for it, it's none of their f**king business. And that's essentially what I told them.
