i've read the bible and i don't recall satan himself actually ever doing anything evil or harmful... however i read many accounts where god killed or tormented countless thousands of people for arbitrary reasons.. aside from prophecies where jehover says that satan will hurt people in the future (hasn't happened yet, and no sign that it will happen), can anyone cite an example in the bible where satan actually harmed anyone?.

LIFE FINALLY BECAME ENJOYABLE AND A LOT EASIER. FEELINGS OF HAPPINESS AND PEOPLE STARTED TO LOOK FRIENDLY AND KIND, INSTEAD OF WORLDLY.
It's not often I post in a minimus thread... or even bother to look at responses after doing so... no offence, Minimus....
But those words do strike a chord with me.
People do not look 'worldly'. They are just like you and I; yet dubdum makes all persons not dubs as evil, horrible people. Time and time again they have the counsel 'bad assosiation spoils useful habits', yet many in 'da troof' are little more than empty shells who drink too much, and are bitter.
Live in paradise on erf with those kind of people? I could think of nothing more boring! Nothing to do all day, but be spied upon.

100%, absolutely, without a doubt, I know that they do not have 'the truth', end of discussion.
If they do, then I've made my own bed and I'll sleep in it. They're guilt trips do not bother me. I would rather be dead than live in a 'paradise' under those rules. As if people are going to be dancing about, kissing serpents and lions, eating fruit forever more.

how many donated for literature taken.
personally, i never gave a dime, yet ordered a lot of literature including "deluxe" bibles, cds, bound volumes, etc..

No. I never donated out of my own pocket.
And like Blondie said, when we were supposed to 'ask' for donations by sneakilly stating that our work is supported by worldwide donations, I refused.

Are Christians harmless?
by gumby infirst off....let me qualify something.
lets keep this to modern day christians in civilized lands.. many on this board are non-believers, and there are quite a number of christians.....so we have a mix.. non believers feel they need to speak out concerning what they have come to understand regarding the bibles authenticity to believers because they feel these ones need to at least see the sceptical side so they can make an honest choice.. believers feel they need to speak out to others concerning what they have come to understand about salvation.
here's the deal..............if believers can live a happy, good, healthy life, and take this to the grave with them..........should a non-believer try to mess all that up.....or leave well enough alone?.

God is the grandest mack-daddy killer of all time with one global genocide, multiple regional genocides and numerous murder spree's under his belt. Almost every one of these blood fests were with people who he made no effort to change or inform. Heck the people of Noah's day hadn't even broken one of his laws! But stay tuned, he's going for the record at Armageddon - the biggest whack-down of them all! And the best part is the supposed reason (the Issue of Soveriegnty or varients thereof) isn't even in the Bible! Nope, none of the writers even offer this as an explaination for upcoming slaughter .

Fault in human DNA strand?
by El blanko inhi there - i'm sorry if this is off topic slightly, but i need information.. i am not learned in this area of science and wondered if it is true that there is a fault within human dna that science assumes is the reason we break down and die and are unable to explain.. forgive my ignorance here.
this question spins off from a conversation i had this afternoon with an ex-jw who wishes to get back to the kingdom hall and was using this argument to present his ideas to me.
i told him that i was not aware of this particular area of study but would look into it for him.. i am assuming that he read this in an awake article maybe?.

I can't imagine a typical dub getting any of this. Most are window cleaners, janitors, and other menail job ppl. They barley know what DNA is, nevermind how it divides, or what chromosones are.
I would love to get an earfull of your disussion with them, LOL!
