A witness, not long ago, posted on this very board how going door to door is 'scriptual'. I pulled out my bible and asked them to prove it. Poster quoted something in acts, or something... where, yes, Paul and others went door to door.
Problem was it was only the 'older men' of the congregation that did it and it was only one example, LOL! You see, they forget the context of the scripture.
Utterly baked.
The poster went running away like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. So much for proving they're standpoint. I shall never forget how the poster went on about 10 posts quoting other 'scriptures', while refusing to answer my original question. Take it one question at a time... NOT!
They try to get you off track by quoting lots of other garbage from they're publications.

i needed information and i knew she would be happy to speak to me.. after the initial pleasantries and chit chat, after her telling me how the convention talks brought out that the borg needs to be realistic with it's expectations of children, after expressing joy at my family's happiness since leaving the borg...................i asked her about the brother who's child was being pushed by the pedophile.
when she told me there are 2 kids in the family, a boy and a girl (a perfect package for the pedo), she asked me 'why all the questions?

I just can't believe my ears and eyes. I've been to many meetings with spouse, and never felt a genuine spirit of love
Indeed, they are told by reporting such wrongdoing, they are helping the erring individual, and will ultimately help them. The problem is, when they 'find out' the wrongdoing, they 'reprove' with scripture, and then decide for themselves if the person is 'repentant' or not. Most times they are not, and end up DF'd.... to have no contact with family/friends until they are deemed 'worthy' of being in the 'congregation'.
Sometimes it takes only 6 months, usually years.
They have no spirit of love, because they do not know what love is. They turn it on and off like a light switch.
Remember, when you're in 'the truth', big brother is always watching.
I can remember this one very disturbed individual who used to drive by brothers and sisters houses at all hours of the day and night (shift worker) and would call it doing a 'drive by'. Now he was not enlisted or anything like that to get dirt, but it just shows the bizarre kinds of people that this religion attracts.

isn't there literature distributed free?

Who may have a copy of Watchtower Library? Watchtower Library is a research tool for Jehovah's Witnesses, not for the public or for institutions such as schools or libraries.
Because they are scared that people will find out 'the truth' about them. If I was the WTBTS I would be very very afraid too! Only Jehovahs Witnesses should have this, because it's pretty apperant how they're teachings are now, and have been completely false in the past.
I call them chickens for that part. They are afraid of truth.

left out again
by the mole inmy family had a gettogether this weekend and my and my father were not invited...my dad was so upset..i advised my dad to let it go...my sister was invited but she is another clone...my dad has finally seen the errors but the fellowship with his own kin struck deep into his soul...he is 64 now and wants to be close to his own brothers and sisters and i didnt know how to really counsel dad or talk to him..we went out to dinner but over and over he spoke his frustration of not being invited.....any suggestion for any of you current break aways to help my dad?

I don't think that you would have enjoyed they're 'assosiation' anyways. I know it sounds hollow, but it's probably true. The looks, the remarks.... you're probably happier and better off not even going. Whatever the case, it isn't good.
