  I am not mad at you. That was never the case. Sometimes I tend to be abrupt on this forum.

  I would ask you, though, how you are using generalizing statements, such as "if you tell the police that you were sexually abused by a congregation member, you will be disfellowshipped". Your words, not mine. And it's absolutley false. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

  Using blank statements and black and white thinking is all that you're doing in this case.

  Anyone who truly believes that statement, in this day and age in 'the truth' is delusional. However, that was not always the case. I don't really think you were serious when you made that statement, were you?

  I am having a hard time believing that you honestly believed that statement. Or could this just be 'another scenario' in your mind?

  ???, you need to look more closely at what this WTBTS has done and continues to do to this very day. "leave it for jehovah". That is a lame excuse made up by lame men. Shame on the WTBTS, and shame on them for harboring this disgusting attitude to those who are potential victims. And shame on anyone who honestly believes that garbage. Shame on them for letting convicted child molesters go door to door, 'preaching the good news of jehovahs kingdom'. Now what does that look like to joe blow living right next door to you?

  What you really need to do is stop looking at every little thing that could happen, and see what actually does happen. Many people close they're eyes, plug they're ears, and scream "la la la la la!" as loud as they can.

  Hear no evil. See no evil. There is no evil. Trouble is, people don't want to open they're eyes.

  My question to you is are you one of them? That is only something that you can decide. Do you go door to door and preach about 'false religion' and sexual abuse scandals, while the WTBTS has just as much blood on they're hands? I recall Jesus calling that Hypocritical.

  Congregation Picnics

  my former congregation usually had a congregation picnic once a year.

  all of the brothers (a/k/a men) had to pay for all of the food.

  the sisters (a/k/a women) had the godly priviledge of serving the food.

  There was usually square dancing involved at some point.

  The horror... the horror...

  I recall one party that we went to. I noted the above activity and promptly left and went right for the pub with my friends.

  I definetly was not cut out to be a witness.

  This is absolutley the most disturbing thread that I have ever seen here. I just frigging HATED that stuff. HATED IT. Sister and brother gossip too much expects you to be buds with them during these events. I just couldn't stand some people, and had a very difficult time smiling and keeping a straight face without bursting out laughing.

  Terrible memories. Thanks a bunch for bringing them back up. I'm going to barf now.

  I don't believe that they are a full-blown cult at all. True, I use the term sometimes, but it is not completely accurate. They are a high-control group.

  I would not outlaw them. I would put extreme restrictions on them, however. They wouldn't be able to put on they're sheeps clothing as easily.

  Every penny that they took in would be taxed, unless they offered they're garbage for free, and never, ever, ever asked for one penny. Not even the 'our work is supported by donations'. They would live by the sword and die by the sword; something they are always unwilling to do.

  Help!! Advice Needed. Taking an Employer ScreeningTest

  i''ve just put in my application for a new job and i received the call the other day to come in for job testing, which will take 2 to 3 hours .

  any pointers??

  i work as a legal secretary right now, and this is a job that i'm applying for at the ontario attorney general's office, as a trial co-ordinator.. any advice would be helpful.

  Be honest. If you're honest you will do fine. If you put down what you think they want to hear, you are not going to get hired.

  There is no way to 'cheat' those things.

  what i mean is according to the society, there are a number of persons that are "technically" "inactive" yet are viewed as jws still.

  i'm sure that i'm viewed as a witness still because i am not df'd or disassociated.....what about you??

  That's about what cocaine drives people to do.

  It wasn't her. It was her addiction. People on shit cannot understand reality. Having someone in my family that has done it most they're life, and 'tricked' everyone into thinking that he was clean, I completely understand.
