Just looking at those album covers made me sick, LOL!
I have an old LP (album), 5 records of how to speak Russian. 5 records of saying hello in english then in russian, LOL! I don't have a record player, but would love to hear it, LOL!
It isn't nearly as bad looking as those album covers. I have to agree the most disturbing is that guy holding the "16" year old girls hand, lol! Looks like a pervert or something.

My daughter came home wearing a cross...........

I have never placed myself above anyone. I speak truth. I am who I represent myself to be on this forum. I have come here to be a witness for Jehovah. My personal experiences have taught me that I can trust in Him with all of my heart. I thought that I can perhaps encourage those that have a bit of faith, to follow the God that they originally came to know. Jehovah is still God, and father to all of us here. My personal experience is coming together beyond what I can understand. I know the end is near...................Jehovah has shown that to me. Everyone will soon realize the true purpose of God. It is everyones choice from this point on to serve Him or not. I have held back at telling you what I know, and I only hope that I relay the correct information, so that I do not bring reproach upon Jehovah's name. The time is truly coming for Him to judge the nations....................................learn to listen with your hearts.

How Do You Make Friends Now?
by exjdub incodeblue's thread about the teenage years made me start thinking about another aspect of being raised jw.
in the org we had ready made "friends" by virtue of our affiliation.
i found that after leaving jw's it was hard to meet people and it took me a long time to make friends.

I found it EASIER to make friends. Just my personal opinoin. Especially when I am passing the crack pipe (KIDDING!)... I just had to throw that in for lurking dubs... probably thought that I was being serious, LOL!
Naw, people are friendly in "the world". I haven't had any problems, really. The problem is finding the right "clique". I don't like going out and just getting pissed. I climb, back-country tele ski, ice climb; i'm not into the "party" mode anymore. I'm 34, and have been there, done that. Yes, I do smoke a spliff every now and then for medical reasons, have a beer or two, but that's aboot it.

Do hours in preaching affect social status?
by new light indeep down, i guess i know the answer to this one, but what the heck?
is it common for someone to have a diminished jw social life for no other reason than being a low-hour publisher?
not to seem conceited, but at the hall i was always smiling and quick-witted (i believe), talked to all types happily, gave good talks and demos, dressed well, smelled good, etc.

Yes, it does affect your friends. Whilst I was pioneering, Iwas in the in crowd. When my hours dropped, so did my friendships, LOL! Like I really care now though, LOL. I'm glad that they're true coulours sp? showed through.
