And how could you guys miss "Kingdom Hell"?
i'm starting this thread for fun.
and to let us blow off some steam, too.
most of us spent years or decades in an organization that hurled tons of invective against their "enemies" (everyone else was their enemy).

has anyone picked those up?
i am really curious to hear the discs.
the reviews have been excellent!.
Remasters are overrated. Just pump your old Beatles albums through an equalizer, adjust it to the way you think it sounds good, and voila! The Beatles remastered! Oh yeah, don't forget to jiggle your volume control once in a while to simulate tape dropout from 40+ year old master tapes.
I'd prefer to see much of the albums out there with the individual tracks stripped down, remastered, and then remixed instead of just farting around with a digital EQ.
Also, if you're downloading a remastered album to hear how good a job they did, you're entirely missing the point. The low end and high end get chopped with MP3 encoding. If you REALLY want to hear what they did, you need to buy the CD from a store.
well some of you arent in the truth anymore, either left,df or da....so who's been out the longest???
and how many had the priviledge of going pio school?.

My last meeting was on August 15, 1996, so I've been out a total of 13 years.
Angel eyes, I honestly don't know how you get on with such faith. Many times, I prayed to Jehovah for help when I was getting the shit beaten out of me. All I got in return was a bad case of PTSD and a nervous breakdown. After that, I started learning that I can't rely on Jehovah for help and that I needed to help myself. I slowly learned how to stand up for myself and not let anybody walk all over me. Now, my PTSD rarely affects me, I'm much more confident, happier, less stressed out, and I owe it all to leaving the JWs.
And Pioneer school? Hah! I couldn't even bring myself to get baptized after I was shoved into becoming an unbaptized publisher. My record maximum of hours was 9 per month. When I didn't have any hours, I made up for it by witnessing to my cat. At least he wasn't eligible for a bible study :)
i was watching steve martin "leap of faith" pg rated mind you with some witnesses.
he plays a fake faith healer.
their were a couple swear words, and the brothers asked me to switch it off.. same thing happened with christine applegate movie {pg 13} "don't tell mom the babysiters dead.
I had brought over the Bob & Doug McKenzie album. I thought he would get a kick out of it because it was funny. After about the third skit, he shut it off without saying a word why.

That's nothing. I did a similar experiment with JWs.
When I had a car full of JWs, I usually played no music. For a change, I started playing "Flashback Greats from the 60s" and everyone in the car group was happy, and they placed a lot of magazines, and we were able to get an extra territory in due to how quickly we finished the others.
A month later, I started playing Kingdom Melodies. The car group didn't seem to be very happy, nobody was placing anything, they were walking slower between houses, and people were going for refills on our coffee break! We were less productive than when I played nothing in the car.
I couldn't finish my experiment either. Over the next month, our service group started to dwindle down to where there was just me and sister faithful who was almost deaf.

bangalore.
So... I went to a bunch of them. Norton must have their heads planted in their arse because there was nothing nasty about them. Other than the sites being really boring, nothing tried to creep into my PC. I've been to far worse ones that have zillions of popups, request that you sign up for a free trial, download their software, etc etc. THOSE are the sites that I worry about.

What's amazing is how happy these songs are. But I never recall hearing happy singing in the Kingdom Hall. They all sang like people in pain who didn't want to get out of bed.
