Apparently someone in the GB or high up the ladder accepted minor blood fractions. If they change too drastically on the blood issue they would open themselves up for a huge upheaval and lawsuits from the families of those who have died over this. I think so many resolved in themselves that taking a blood transfusion was bad when people were getting AIDS and such from transfusions. Now I wonder what the actual number is..when JW's take a transfusion when no one would find out. oh well....just my two cents !!!!

Has to be a tie between the blood brochure or the Revelation. I remember announcing at the bbok study that we were going thru the revelation book again. They just sat there waiting for me to crack a smirk or laugh thinking it was a joke. Once they realized it was what we were going to be studying AGAIN they just sat there in a daze. (kinda like the study in the Revelation book itself).

Top Ten: Stuff Bad Witnesses Do at Assemblies
by metatron in1. get thrown out after tossing strings of beads to sisters getting baptized and yelling "show us your boobs".. .
2. do business witnessing at every adult bookstore while wearing a prominent name badge ( "t. jaracz"), after buying.
bondage magazines and inviting the bored girl behind the cash register to the sunday talk.. .

#119 Put ice cubes in the water just before the females get baptized........ those would be some good points made during the assembly. A crushed viagra in the coke can of one of the baptizers would make the event extra special.

Witnesses Are Always Made To Feel They're Not Doing Enough
by minimus inone way the watchtower gets into people's heads is by making them feel that they're unworthy, not good enough, inferior.
" that is the chant of circuit overseers and elders all around the world.
nobody could keep up the pace that the watchtower has given its followers.

Hi Minimus, I know exactly what you mean. I know of so many that would fall into a depression shortly after a circuit assembly or the CO's visit. I remember one elder that said at one of the elders meetings, "if I hear one more talk about not doing enough, I think my head will explode". Memories pressed between the pages in my mind....LOL !! Cheers, Taz

Do you have a favorite piece of music?
by MorpheuzX ini don't know if this thread has been covered before; do you have a favorite song or piece of music or performer?
i know the question seems juvenile.
but, i'm curious.. mine, i think, is a tie between wladyslaw szpilman's performance of chopin's nocturne in c-sharp minor and angela hewitt's version of bach's goldberg variations -- the aria is divine!.

Most commun cars in your congregation
by JH inin your former congregation, what models of cars were the most commun?.
in my congregation, there was a time in the late 80's, that just about everybody had a dodge aries.
it seemed to be an inexpensive decent size car for the service, then a few years later, many had volkswagen jettas, a little more expensive.... i was the type to get a red, 2 door car.

We had a wave of Jeep Cherokees. The hall was on a huge hill. The only way you could make it on snowy days was with 4-wheel drive.

Have you really left?
by Ariell ini'm sure we all view the watchtower society as a mind controlling dictatorship that has systematically destroyed our lives is some shape or form.
i'm sure this is why we've all left, but have we really?
someone can physically leave a religion, but emotionally they're still there.

It was very hard to leave longtime friends. In their I am the evil elder that left. To them I am as good as dead. I hurts when you consider all the good things we did to help others while we were in. I have been out for four years. I hope that the next four are easier than the first four.
