Don't put a ridiculous figure on the form. Put something high but realistic like $300 so that the Congregation ends up with a real shortfall that they have to moan about every month.
The slips are anonymous right?
the gb can kiss my ass.. i'm writing "0" on the little slip of paper they pass out.. hey here's a thought:.
you know that "widow's might" stuff they're always talking about?
well i'm pretty dang sure that the lady was giving from the heart not because she filled out some dumba$$ piece of paper pledging two small coins several months previous!.

I for one am very amused by this whole thing, they've given away the moral high ground they thought they had over other religions on finances.
Not that they won't still claim it anyway, mind.
a pioneer sister who just returned from pioneer school, and her elder husband, who was previously in bethel are in service.. when they come to an enthusiastic house holder.
after discussing the glorious messianic kingdom that has been ruling since 1914,err 1919 the house holder says "ok this really is good news, what must i do to be saved??".
brother elder and sister pioneer elder both look at each other, and they know right away the best answer... sister pioneer reaches into her bag pulling out her km approved preaching tablet device (she waves it around a. bit, with the purpose of impressing the householder how advanced the wt is), she then says i want to show you our website, jw .
I'm not sure that was a real field service experience but anyway, that was a great post objectivetruth.
when i found my fellow traveler reading theology today magazine, my pioneer spirit acted.
i started witnessing to him without knowing he was a professor of theology.
he patiently listened to me.
I find it very strange that you choose to share your theological convictions in the context of a fictional conversation.
i was chatting the other day with a ministerial servant about the word "" as it appears in the new testament .the word is translated 90% of the time as grace but the watchtower chooses the obscure phrase "undeserved kindness" .this article examines the definition of the word as it appears in the verse romans 6:23 and how wages in the roman army can help us determine the roots of the word.. charisma a way to understand undeserved kindness.
www.jwdoctrine.com.
.
My favourite part of the term 'undeserved kindness' is the way they sometimes juxtapose it with that other JW term 'deserving ones' Looks funny.
I wonder if they changed it to reduce the connections with Christendom? I.e. They also translate the popular christian word 'justification' as 'declared righteous'
look...i am not an atheist.
even so, i have never had one prayer answered my entire life.
the only thing that would even come close was learning ttatt.
Heartofaboy
Would you really want that prayer to be answered? How about asking for an end to bigotry and accepting yourself for who you are?
christianity (including jehovahs witnesses) is the rejection of christ.
take one of the most important teachings of jesus:.
1) he says one can even love his enemies and do good to them, and can tolerate anything (luke 6:27-32).
Ha! Thanks. :)
I just assume that you agree you personally make the wrong choices sometimes? (because we all do, right?) It sounds simple in theory, but in practice it doesn't seem to happen.
And if you never make a mistake, what's your secret? Early morning meditation? ;)

So why do you choose to keep sinning, if it's so simple to choose to stop?
it's obvious the bible is very clear on a actual hell of fire.
"cursed into the eternal fire with the devil and his angels", rev.20:15.
"lake of fire", rev.21:8 "fire and brimstone".
In most churches, if you are good you go to heaven, if you are not....you go to hell....
Legacy, you probably shouldn't pay too much attention to what the Watchtower tells you those churches teach.
has anyone offered the theory that wts membership in the un was fulfilling matt.
24:15, and that consequently the fds began to turn into the evil slave?.
I think I've heard this one before but it seems a little far fetched to me.
