There is always the possibility that maybe they hooked their own gentials up and electrocuted themselves. If we were not there how could we be sure? Have I been to Iraq (answer self) No I have not. Am I from Iraq. (ANswer SelF) No I am not. Well then how do I know that it is true? in the past, jw's argued on doctrine and the xjw community argued also on doctrine.
these days many jw's are no longer able to argue their own beliefs and the xjw communty has less interest in discussing jw doctrine or christian doctrine.

This site and all the others like it are really for these people. The ones who decide to come out of the cave. If this site shut down my life would go right on. For me it is a worthy time drop; but I hope for others I can give a peice of insperation. Arguing doctrine and dogma is just like arguing politics and parties. It's about who gets to rule in the imaginary world of Ideology. I see so many people here that look towards unity in purpose not religion. Most are tillted to the pagan or athiest side but I find them much easier to get along with than Fundamentalists. Whatever your doctrine even science and proof if you are a Fundmentalist the first casualty will be faith. And that is sad. Because with the loss of faith comes the dispare of being void of hope. And then the loss of trust. IMO & experience.
The lack of direct arguing with Witnesses now is because they have been defeated and exposed for the lies that they tell. There is no more to say. All they have left is threats, more of the same lies, betrayal, and name calling. That is a waste of time. They are terminal. As they come out of the darkness, sites like this one will help many avoid dashing on the rocks as they come to shore. Nothing is hidden and there is no bigger conspiracy. It is all laid out in the open. Take what you want and leave the rest. Here you get to control where you go, what you say, and whom you talk to. It is somethng that is unique, and forgien to contol mongers.

I agree that this is a powdercake Happy man. But it is really too bad that Iraq has such a bugger for a leader. I for one will not miss hearing his name. This has been going on since at least 1991. It is not begining it has been on going. I would like to see this resolved one way or another. And as for the Muslim/Christian or Muslim/Jew or Muslim/Muslim fighting um.. It is not going on all over the world now?

JW Statistics
by ScoobySnax inok i'm probably way behind here but i just got the jan.1st 2003 issue of the wt and was looking at the service report and notice the 2.8% increase wordlwide, as opposed to the 1.7% on the last years report.
many here have posted before that this figure is somehow "fiddled" by the wt and is not accurate due to the new 15 minute rule, how is that?
i looked at an independant source www.adherents.com and note that they say the witnesses are meticulous and known as particularly accurate in their data, and even "conservative" in their estimates of membership compared with other religious groups who tend to inflate their numbers.

I did go to your link and I am not a jw so I can or maybe should stay out of this. But I have a question. What is your point? Are you trying to say that if people have no proof that the stats might be inflated that they should put up or shut up?
Because as for time cards I know every jw I have talked to with their hair down admits that they put down time to fill the required duty. If it is not REALLY time SHHH! And for membership ya I bet they can keep it up. Imagine if you were born into a devout Republican party. You had to doorbell for all Republican candates regardless of what they were like they are Republicans damit! They are the one true party. If you ever voted for any other party or read any Liberal propaganda you would be subject to instantly being disowned by your family, your friends, even your children would no longer speak to you. Voting Republican is a given every year unless you want to loose all your "family." Imagine if you were found to be speaking friendly to someone with a liberal attitude that speaks out against the one true party "The Republicans" and then what if the Republican Party Police started stalking you and spying on you. It might keep voting republician up in the polls but I think that would be unethical. Forcing people to stay Jehovah Witnesses and do that organizations subjegated instructions is also unethical. That alone in my book dismisses any stats on them because of the way that they keep members in a constant state of servitude is unethical and it goes against the fundamental principals of the LORD, and the message of the Lord they claim to serve. Their numbers may be real but that does not mean that they are right.

The way that you asked for money does in fact amount to pan handling. And, that is offensive to many. I know that it is a new phenomenon folks to ask for money on the internet from complete strangers. I have read about a lady that has a web site to help her pay off her $20,000's of debt. She just wants some help so she does not have to pay it all off because that would be hard and take a long time.
Yizuman we all have been in tight situations before. Have you considered taking on a boarder or a roommate? Or even to take a draw from Wal Mart. What town did you say that you live in? I will look in your paper and tell you some places to get a job. This is America if you want a job there is one for you; Whoever and where ever you are. Sometimes it is hard but it is there. I don't think that this chat forum is set up for donations and some here will never do such a thing. This ain't a church trust me.
Lin you know if you were judging unfairly I would say so. You are not judging or condeming at all. You are giving your opinion to a solicitation. IMO
