Should I let my kids visit my JW parents?

i have a dilema.

my parents are still active jw.

last year they told me they had to limit their association with me.

I would tell them they can only see your kids under your supervision, also perhaps at neutral ground like a playground or the beach. That way they get to spend time together but there is no conflict.

many people who drive have stickers riddled all over their cars.

something familiar among the younger crowd is to have stickers of the aftermarket products that they have used (or claimed to be using) in their cars.

parents with smart kids have "my son/daughter are on the honor role" while parents of dumb children have "my kid beat up your honor student".

i don't know if anybody has noticed yet, but today, i folded in the cover of the "draw close to jehovah" book and i noticed the bible turns into a pyramid, the clouds turn into a masonic "s" on top of that pyramid and "jehovah" becomes "jah".. freaky....

lets go on a trip into the biblical past, correct me for getting this wrong but,certain areas city gates were designated for the scholars.

learned men ,covering all aspects of city life and dominated by free religiouse speech,the gathering together of spiritual men discusing all and every spiritual possibility ,were open up for every conceivable argument and permeation covering jesus christ,and all other gods,nothing was left out,questions were asked and answerd,by learned scholars and ordinary men,.

they had freedom of speech,.

I read a watchtower today. It made me feel sick. It was like eating regurgitated food.

I am free to think for myself and do my own research for the first time ever. I have even recently been researching Satanism. I admit it made me feel even sicker than the watchtower and it definitely isn't for me but at least I now feel I have made an informed intelligent decision.

I can now read the bible and see it for what it really is. When I tried to read it as a witness I found I couldn't because I kept finding things that contradicted what they were saying.

On this board I am free to bring up any subject and usually find someone to intelligently discuss it with me without them trying to shove their views down my throat.

Its nice. Its a breath of fresh air.

if i were to believe in the bible (which i am starting to totally disbelieve), i like the idea that satan was actually on mans side, and when you look at what he told eve he was actually telling the truth, it was god who lied.

this used to cross my mind as a witness but i would very swiftly dismiss it as demons affecting my thinking.

didn't he say we could rule ourselves if given a fair chance?

Actually I've changes my mind on the above site, some of it is pretty freaky and disgusting. They are just as crazy as the fundies.

We didn't have debating at my public school, thank goodness for those of you who can refute illogical claims!

What I really wanted to know on this thread was if anyone else had entertained this idea? I think I put up a post on another thread asking if Satanists actually believe that Satan is good and black is the colour of righteousness. Maybe not in those words. I always thought they were evil dudes, but now can see a different side to the story.

Any satanists out there? Maybe I'll have to go to a satanist web page. Ooooh scarey.
