Why do we debate this ad-nausea?
Because it remains an unsettled (and apparently unsettling) issue for Americans.
just got this email!.

Just so we're clear here, I'm not particularly un-welcoming to gay people, they can eat over my house for all I care, I'll treat them the same as others in my travels. I just don't think they are = in the realm of marriage and what I consider normal, with respect to their private lives. Nature(for all you athiests) didn't intend it.
lol
at the end of 2007 a spanish film was released titled "the orphanage.
it got good reviews, and i enjoy spooky movies (though i haven't seen one yet that i've confused with reality), so i bought a copy of the dvd yesterday.
i thought it was quite good, built good tension, kept me in suspense, and didn't go hog-wild with gore.. here's the official site.
I was rather let down by the end, but it was pretty taught throughout. Pan's Labyrinth was fantastic (by Guillermo del Toro like the Devil's Backbone).
hi, just wanted to see if i have any "brothers" in the great state of california or anywhere for that matter.
it would be nice to have some support and help for each other!
Sottsman, gotta love YouTube search!

Ah, nothing better to start the day than a blast of the Bass!
i was out friday night with a few of the friends i have made since leaving jws behind, when lo and behold, it turns out that one of their boyfriends was an exjw too!
i was excited at first, as i had not yet met someone who was exjw and gay in the flesh until now.
however, my excitement was shortlived.
There's an occasional poster on here, Scoobysnax, who fits a similar description and used to annoy a few with his proJW postings. I have a good friend that's gay, though not dfed but remains a believer and attends the memorial. We've had many a heated discussion but I've come to accept that I can't change his mind, and even though I percieve it as making him unhappy, it's his life. He has a very sentimental view of his life as a JW.
You can point your new friend in the direction of help, but you can't make him accept it. I doubt he'd be that open to reading CoC but I could be wrong - the inactive but believing people I know remain defensive.
i've just read lola28's thread "for those against gay marriage".
i thought i should present a clear message on what i think the gay marriage issue is all about.
the trouble with most discussions on this issue is that it gets clouded by a plethora of side-issues, non-issues, cave-men chest-thumping and medieval puritanism.
what I can't understand is why there are so many deviants here that reject Scripture but that want to make their opinions and practices known. What's this got to do with jw's? If you want to practice your deviancy, go into your garage or basement or wherever, or are you here to recruit since you can't normally reproduce?
This really stretches the board rules and should be censored by the mods.
Carlos, "bedrock of civilisation"? - lol, you've got to be American (and let's face it, Christian) to believe that. And as to judging people on their avatar's, you really should get out more. If you judge people on their avatars and you're comfortable debating with cartoon characters you really do have some issues. For a rare poster this topic seems to have tickled your fancy... Go and lock this thread someone, it's run it's course and becoming derogatory.the apostle paul said that death spread to all men because we all inherited adam's sin.. the human genome was mapped in 2000.. advances are being made in genetics.. britain recently allowed the creation of human-animal hybrids.. do you think eventually that scientists will find "sin"?.
i've just finished reading the language of god, a book about a scientist who headed the human genome project.
he was a former atheist but turned christian.
Christians - they just love looking at sin, the closer the better
i have to get use to this!.

You misread me BTS. Shazard was predicting a future with homosexualis in position of power and I was merely pointing out that they always have been. I don't think homosexuals are better than anyone else.

Shazard, we're already in positions of political power and as educators, we always have been. Brace yourself for the gay agenda!
This is because homosexuals have tended to be unburdened by the responsibilities of family, which allows more time energy and resources for acheivement in other areas.
Eh? Are you suggesting that married politicians and educators with families are superhuman? Homosexuals are in politics with wives and children too, they're outed every few months in the press.
