  Do You Feel Better Since You Stopped Meetings?

  so many witnesses have been ill. i'm not talking about the flu or a cold, either.

  many witnesses suffered from ailments that were not necessarily common to most people.

  i know of jw's that had to literally run out of the meetings every week because they said they were allergic to perfumes and different scents.

  morning, all.. randy graciously gave me some room at freeminds to link my project work on the theory that the wts only uses around 250 scriptures in the watchtower magazines to propagate and inculcate current truth and the scriptures used have moved from emphasizing the heavenly hope to that of strict legalism.

  i am hoping, through the use of the wt magazines ony, to prove this statistically.

  Like I have said before, I wish the Society would focus more on the scripture where King Solomon describes the Shulamite maiden's breasts. Maybe do a 2 or even a 3 part Watchtower study article about them.

  The scripture should be one of the 250 or so that are continually quoted in the publications.

  Special Talk in April

  every year there is a "special talk" given around the end of march or april.

  having heard dozens of them over the years, i never quite figured out what was "special" about them.

  certainly no "new light" or anything ... just ... well .... the same stuff.. am i correct or not in my observation ???.

  Well now, lingerie. A much better topic than doom and gloom !!!

  Yes, I consider it a "gift" when my wife does the Victoria's Secret thing. Fortunately, we live about 5 minutes from a local mall and she does buy most of her underwear there, even the more common stuff for daily use (the stores have a lot of sales that are not in the catalogs).

  "Nasty" or "sweet" ????? Depends on the mood. The woman can really set the tone for what she is in the mood for: Obviously, wearing a little red thong and in 5" heels means something much different than a little white see-thru nighty. Your hubby will pick up on it quickly and both of you will enjoy it.

  From the male perspective, just don't limit yourself to one "look." Variety is what makes it even more exciting.

  in particular it seems like every wt for the past year or so has a section or a paragraph pumping up the elders.

  or talking about them being "gifts in men"?

  or like the part on the service meeting this week, interviewing an elder and making him seem better or different from the rest of the cong.

  Delta is beginning to seriously attack the low end of the market, especially if you need a last minute flight.

  Southwest is good provided you have a 7 day advance purchase. Otherwise, you pay the full fare which is often still a bargain.

  But try delta.com before you buy.
