stillajwexelder.....I have the same feeling, actually at one time I thought it was necessary for them to do so.....but I gave up on that expectation...they are so caught up in their little world that they don't even see where they're wrong.
like jesus said.....forgive them for they don't know what they do (hope that's how it's said)

Stupid Things People Have Done
by Nosferatu inthis is just a thread to post your stories about people in your lives and the stupid things they've done.. my dad had this friend named jack.
the guy seemed a little nuts.
this guy nailed strips of stainless steel to the bottom of his winter boots because the soles were split down the middle.

I was working for this company which rented sound and lighting systems for any type of occasions.
This time I was to set up sound in front of the town hall for the annual lighting of the town hall christmas tree.
After I was set up the mayor shows up and puts his notes on the podium and says..."I can't read my notes". Being the good tech that I was, and besides, the lighting on the podium was not mine to supply, I started to look for alternate lighting. Time was kinda running short, a crowd of at least 500 were there.
We were set up on the front steps of the hall, and on each side of the doors were two lights which were not being used, so I thought if I could locate the switches at least it would help. As everybody's looking frantically to find the switch, I find one that's located on the front part of steps, as I flick the switch I look back to see if it's the right one...
I hear a loud "Ohhhh" coming from the crowd....I had lit the damn tree....
You should have seen the mayors face.....it only lasted a fraction of a second...but man was that funny...perils of being a sound tech....lol

LOL....yeru....it was me you called an idiot...(everyone will probably agree with you now that they know)....LOL....my puter was down and I couldn't respond....thank god.....lol
first...apology accepted
second...that's what I like about you....you stand your ground. We differ in opinions, are at both ends of the political spectrum, so ya, one is bound to call the other an idiot once in a while. Personnally I would never use such language....lol....but I want you to know I'm not offended by it, it's all part of the debate, so next time...with me anyway...no need to apologize. You can drop the MOAB of insults on me and I'll still think you're a cool dude. I don't hate people, only crooks in suits.
take care

'Saddam's Palace May Be New U.S. Embassy'

- 12-12-2003. u.s. bombs never hit saddam hussein's grandiose presidential palace in baghdad, making its ample meeting rooms and vast conference tables an ideal headquarters for u.s.-led occupation authorities after the war.

Illegal business deals....yeah right....like you guys aren't guilty of that too...
Your economy was slacking, so you went to war to replenish your funds, and to top it off, you put a humanitarian twist to it. But humanitarian it was not. Why don't you state to us how many civilian lives it took to fix your economy, how many children were maimed by your bombs to secure your new business offices in Baghdad so you're closer to the oil fields? We don't hear those numbers, do we?
Besides if you proclaim freedom to the Iraqis, why don't you pay them the same salary you're getting? Or at least pay them minimum wage rather than keep them in poverty. Isn't their prosperity the reason why you claim you had to free them. You have seized millions of dollars in raids, money you say was stolen from them. Did you return it by evenly distributing it, or did you keep it for yourself? Ok, I know your answer to that....it was used to fix their infrastucture....you mean like oil rigs....
When will the "facts" change your mind?
It is the men in suits that are dangerous and exploitative regardless of their country of origin. It is the men in suits that should be executed for the havoc they create on this planet. Get rid of them, and Osama has no reason to exist.
Saddam should be put to death immediately. He doesn't deserve a trial, the proofs are staggering against him. But remember, he loved parading in a suit. Draw your own conclusions.

Baptisms at the Sydney International Convention.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inok......................60,000 attended the convention at the olympic stadium and all the news reports here in oz say there were 500 baptised.
images on the news showing young and old getting dunked gave me the horrors.
i just couldn't help but wonder how many pedophiles and sexual abuse victims were there pretending to be righteouss and happy.

And don't forget "Geritol"...one of the first well advertised scams to air on National TV during that show...Geritol was some sort of magical supplement with iron...
Yes, what torture it was, having to watch this for an hour just before the "Hockey Night in Canada" every Saturday night. Nothing else to watch then....you just had to take the good with the bad. Channel surfing didn't exist, geez, when I think about it...even remotes didn't exist
