  well, i talk about my abuse so much i haven't found the need to post it.

  i guess i will post it now so i can write it once and not have to keep writing it over and over again.

  well, my eariliest memory is of being punished.

  Jes... what I feel right now is undescribable. So many memories it brings up for me in my own childhood being beaten, though never as severely as you. I am soooo sorry that all this has happened to you. I cannot even begin to image the pain that you have endured. You said earlier that you were not brave. I must disagree. It takes a great amount of bravery to not only live through what you have lived through, but also to relive your experiances in order to make yourself available to those who are going through the same thing as you did. So many people go through their lives blaming themselves for what happened and you have risen above that.

  Disassociating inactive ones?

  a few days ago someone wrote about a new rule that came out in elders school this summer about inactive ones still being accountable to jehovah's (watchtower) rules.

  does this mean that they are going to start disassociating ones who have been inactive for years who are not upholding the rules?

  i know of a few people who have not attended meeting in several years who either celebrate holidays or in other ways break the rules and everybody knows it.

  Ya know... it doesnt bother me so much that they are doing that. I dont care to go back anyhow. That will though affect many people who just want to be out but still want to be able to speak to their family who might shun them if they are DA'd. I see this as a way to force some of those who have faded to come back. "If you want to speak to your family ever again, you will begin to attend meetings regularly again... or else!" Sounds like they are holding family memebers for ransom.

  Just another "loving provision" from the society, eh?

  Bring the draft back? I fear for our sons..

  i am feeling a bit emotional today,,,,,, i was watching cnn today and there is a big debate going on , if they are going to do another draft like back in the vietnam war.

  this made me stand still in my tracks.

  I dont know if my situation applies to any of you but I am a 22 year old male. Prime candidate to go if it were not for the fact that I am the only living son of my father who is now dead (please no sympathy, he was an ass). They cannot draft the only living son of a father, I cannot remember if it the rule is that the father has to be deceased or if it is just an only child thing.

  in 1990 my mother married an american guy from that she had met while working for an aircraft company.

  my brother was not allowed to visit me and they even turned him against me.

  the relationship that my mother and i have will never be like what we had.

  Thanks everyone for their comments. Its a struggle and I still get depressed regarding everything that happened and my shattered faith in God. I know that being here will help me tremendously in my healing process as it has already begun to do so.

  Again, thank you all very much.

  P.S. If there were not a limit as to how many posts we could make I probably would have already made it to Jedi.

  Missing a meeting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  today, like many days, well, usually once or twice weekly, i'm missing yet another meeting; it's the 'book study' meeting.. just don't feel like hearing the same crap.

  the book (isaiah's prophecy) we're studying now is so redundant and boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  plus, i saw all the people i care for over the weekend, so i really don't need to have another doses of their love just yet.. sound familiar to anyone?!.

  Thats how it started for me as well.... like everyone has said though... wait till you miss them all. In fact, try skipping 2 whole weeks. Bet ya never go back.

  rule no 1 take your wap mobile phone and scan the internet no2 enthusiastically volunteer to do car park duty with one of your spiritually weak friends no 3 when all else fails say your saved and believe in the trinity and you wont have to go any more

  To keep myself awake I would volunteer to run the soundbox. In our hall it was in a completely seperate room with a view of the stage. I would turn on all the mics and leave them on and go to sleep.

  I see God as someone who created us long ago but has since forgotten about us. Kind of like a kid with a new toy, with time he got bored with us and wandered off to find something else to do.

  with all the door to door work, actually finding someone to study with was difficult enough, and then to actually bring them to the point of baptizm, that seemed nearly impossible.

  but it has happened.
