  i'm sitting here now going insane with this program of fear, obligation and guilt!.

  oh man....seriously mind numbing.. i can't bring myself to share too much of it all now.... but i just want to get out...... tell you all more soon about the manipulative trash..... .

  when it comes to a simple matter of no longer believing the teachings of jw's, it appears to me that it's more common for the husband to make the first move to leave the religion.

  What I Like About This Forum...

  ...is that it gives me insight into jw circles i'd otherwise never know.. my mother loathes gossip and derives a personal pleasure in shutting jw gossips up.

  as a family, we belong to that boring side of the congregation which never hear any of the juicy stories on the going-ons in the hall.. this forum however makes it possible to have a real panoramic view of the whole thingy.

  from the gb to bethel, to the elders and their families, to the ninja-pioneer army, and many other cliques in the congregations.

  I can agree with all of the above comments. I learnt more about that religion in 18 months of been on here than I ever did in the 39 years been an active witness. I'm usually finding out stuff weeks ahead of my relatives. I was even able to reconnect with a district overseer who I knew in my youth who I meet off here. I will warn you from personal experience if you wish to remain in the religion with a clear conscious then this may not be the best place for you. I thought I could have the best of both worlds. 18 months latter I walked out of Hall for the last time.

  i don't know if any of you have seen the video posted by mike and kim regarding jw.org advertising on a thailand computer game review television show.

  the show is called game show social - i looked at a few of the videos and jw.org is on a lot of them.. at first i thought that it was a review of a jw.org app but when you look at other videos jw.org is on a lot of them as a sponsor as well as dell lg and others.. wgo..

  I have a friend who is a native of Thailand although she now no longer lives there. I asked her about the clip. She tended to think it would of aired on one of those pay tv channels. Other than that, that's all she could tell me.

  What I can't understand is why a guy would want to make an app in the thai language for a religion that is relatively unknown in Thailand. Why not make it in English or spanish the 2 languages that JWs speak.

  Talking to an uber dub from chile today about flags been flown in the KH. He was oblivious to it.

  i mentioned about the flags been flown outside the kh with an uber dub (regular pioneer) who lives in chile today.

  he was totally oblivious to it, and said absolutely it wasn't true.

  i sent him the you tube clip along with the address of the kh in the clip etc.

I sent him the you tube clip along with the address of the KH in the clip etc. Now I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here and saying that he didn't know. So my question is just how widely known is it amongst Chilean witness that this is going on. To be honest I was sort of expecting him to fill me in on it. If he didn't know (and he lives in Santiago)then it must only be a very small number of KH that are flying the flag. Anyone know for sure.

  when i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.

  soon i came to the realization that there were many more.

  we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.

  I guess when you look at sights such as this one and see that they are growing. It would kind of indicate that there is discord amongst the ranks.
