  My daughter gave blood today!!

  i am a proud mother.

  my daughter's school had a blood drive and she is of age to donate.

  she wanted to last year but was too young.

  It's interesting as I have been thinking about donating blood. But more as it been the last frontier of letting go of the religion. But so far I just can't seem to do it. The ol buggers have still got me in mental slavery. I'll get there I'm just can't bring myself to it.

  at the international convention last week i caught up with my old congregation and asked about the young ones...there were 2 answers.

  1. they flat out left got a boyfriend etc.

  and 2. havent seen them for awhile meaning they faded or went off the grid so as not to be disfellowshipped.

  I was actually intetested to see how other denominations feared with regard to youth retention, so I went to the local church down the road. The thing that struck me were the young kids actually been allowed to play and have fun. There were also a fair amount of youth. I spoke to the pastor about the time and money that they put into creating programs and an environment for their youth. Surprisingly the pastor actually spoke highly of the witnesses although he said a few of their ideas were a bit far fetched. If only he knew. Wt you have to change.

  One Day assembly in Arizona- $17,000 !!

  i heard from a reliable source that a one-day assembly in arizona last weekend had a "cost" to the publishers of $17,000.. predictably, the elders were nice enough to obligate the attendees to a $6,000 donation to wt before the assembly "costs" (i.e.

  "rent/extortion) were even met.

  $11,000 rent plus $6000 in extra "donations".

  a young 14 year old girl was disfellowshipped in my former congregation last week

  a baptized girl from my former cong.

  was expelled out because she participated in more than one porn videos with classmates in the school and theses videos became public.

  she is 14 years old and grew up as witnesses.but anybody knows she had many boyfriends and she-, but that thing was unbelievable!

  OMG I havnt heard one like that ever in my life. I sort of wonder if there are underlying problems with abuse of some sort or dependency issues. To be involved in a porn film at that age I would say you would have to have very low self esteem.

  This weeks service meeting! More craziness.....

  so this weeks service meeting is so full of "crazy".

  a whole 15 min part devoted to trying to indoctrinate everyone on how to "explain our beliefs on 1914".

  then another 15 min part called "a tool to help us explain our beliefs about 1914".

  My Trip to New Zealand

  now that i've got a pic up, i'm moved to recount an experience which occurred at the time it was taken.

  on my last night in auckland before flying back home, i stayed at a friend's place; she was going to drive me to the airport in the morning.

  in the morning (saturday), just before we were about to drive to the airport, there was a knock at the door, and guess who it was!

  I just can't believe they done a Mexican wave at the assembly. 3 years ago if I heard of such a thing I would of thought of it as total disrespect for a sacred occasion. I just can't believe what I'm seeing. Kids activity centres in bethel, Flag poles out side kingdom halls displaying the national flag, cartoons in the mags and the list goes on. My how things are changing.

  I had an uber dub pioneer aunt comment to me about a wordly funeral she attended of a bible student. "you know (with a look of disgust on her face) they must of only spent 5 or 10 minutes talking about the person and the rest of the time was taken up with the church". Just hit me like a bus that comment. WOMEN OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!! Of course I never said anything.
