With all due respect to the victims of abuse. I noticed in a news conference Zaklin held for an abuse victim they came out all guns blazing at how wicked and unethical it had been by watchtower settling out of court with a gag order, and yet they failed to mention that they had brokered these very same settlements e.g remember there were also other victims in Gonzalo Campos case that were settled out of court as well. I also noticed to that the victims were only to willing under the circumstances to except the hush money. The point I'm making is shouldn't all 3 parties be equally responsible for the terms and conditions. If zaklin was so concerned about airing this to the public and letting the truth be told why didn't they refuse to take this to trial in the first place, when they knew that this was going to be the outcome.

one i can think of was when the offender was given name suppression because to identify the abuser would also mean identifying the victim, so hence both were given name suppression.
now with regard to the out of court settlements and gag orders by the watchtower, and yes i do realise that the wt would have the most to benefit by doing this.

Now with regard to the out of court settlements and gag orders by the watchtower, and yes I do realise that the Wt would have the most to benefit by doing this. But could the reason that this was chosen by both parties was to not have this thing dragged out in the eye of the public. I could imagine that it would be quite a traumatic experience for the victim, and they would of been compensated as such. For Wt to have offered it, the victim must of been only to willing to except it. So hence it was a win win situation for both parties. I'm not here trying to minimise or to hurt victims of sex abuse but I have notice everyone is quick to slam the Wt for offering hush money but I don't see anyone criticizing the victim for accepting it.
(2) I noticed with the Lopez case Wt got thrown out of court when they failed to supply internal documents, and a witness to their internal policies. I heard on a Zaklin law firm video that they were doing the exact same thing in another trial as well. How can they get away with putting forth this argument again when the outcome is still pending in another trial.

by Pams girl ini have been going through the most terrible time these past 4 weeks, which has nothing to do with the jw, and everything to do with being abandoned with anxiety, panic and agoraphobia, and a new diagnoses of an illness called pmdd, which robbed me of my career, and it seems, my marriage, as my husband has moved out and left me with our son.
this man, this "stranger", jumped in his car to offer me support, and travelled 2 hours to be with me, despite what was going on with him, just be with me for a few hours and try to help.
what an amazing selfless act.

I think it will soon reach critical mass. Unless they do something that is just totally off the wall, I can see dropping a bit before it stabilizes, and continues into the future. If it dose fizzle out it won't be in my life time

If they are at least to delay the reversing process, they have to get more involved in the internet. There just to much negative information out there for an interested person to see. Even when I was indoctrinated I knew the internet was a bad place to be with regard to JDuds, but what I didn't realise was just the shear volume and extent of it. For such a small organisation they surly punch well above their weight with negative info.
