It hard to believe that the people of the day actually believed this BS.

This is a quote of a quote taken from Anthoney Mathenia:
" For organizations like the Watchtower, absolute control of their message is paramount. It will not even allow its own adherents to spread their “good news” online. The November 1997 Our Kingdom Ministry (an internal bulletin) mandates: “There is no need for any individual to prepare Internet pages about Jehovah’s Witnesses, our activities, or our beliefs. Our official site (www.watchtower.org) presents accurate information for any who want it.”
In light of the above comment now see the link below

So my question now is? Is this the start of a change of policy regarding individuals preparing internet pages. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this.

DELIGHTFUL DROP IN MEMORIAL ATTENDANCES: 2011 VERSUS 2014!
by steve2 inthe us kingdom ministry shows the collective total 2014 memorial attendances of the countries that now comprise the us territory in 2014: 2,610,810.. those countries are: the usa, bermuda, jamaica, turks and caicos and puerto rico.. the same collective total for those same countries three years ago - 2011 - was 2,666,592.. that's a decrease of 55,782 from 2011 to 2014. i am happified.. while there has been the occasional year in which memorial attendances from one year to the next have shown decrease, this is a first: decline evident over a three-year period.. comments please!.
.
anyone have the know how on how to provide the link for the kingdom ministry download?

The Governing Body Need To Get Their Head Out From In Between Their Derrière And Start Reading What Apostate Sites Are Actually Saying
by frankiespeakin init does no good for the governing body to burry their heads up their ass in denial as to what people who have left are saying about them and their insane selfserving teachings.
i know denial is a real bitch to deal with and i'm sure this bunch of over the hill gang will have a hard time doing google searches and they are probably not sure where to look but they oughta get some one to show them how to find all this information, this willful ignorance is really hurting them, and reality can come crashing in more horrible ways the longer the denial exist and is hiding valuable information you really need before you proceed to make better decisions for your company and the direction you want it to go..

Contrary to Wt belief I absolutely believe the first place the R&F need to be is on the internet having a good read. I feel Wt is just trying to delay the inevitable.
It would be foolish to assume the CEO of Wt art fully aware of what people are saying. The question is what can they do about it.

I found to sit with people who don't know you. Soon as the song and prayer are over then walk out. Take a nore when the session ends and return for lunch. That way you can have a catch up with people you like. Looking back I never know how I managed to sit through it as a kid.

'worldly' events vs JW events... the fear, and the reality
by undercover ini went to what a jw would call a 'worldly' wedding a couple of weeks ago.. having been raised a jw, i had never been to a 'worldly' wedding until i was in my late 20s or early 30s.
the horror stories of 'worldly' people in general kept me from associating with 'worldly' people, except as necessary through work, etc.
as i became more willing to associate with workmates and other 'worldly' people, i started to realize the fear that had been instilled in me was mostly false.

I have to say for the decades that i was a witness and to the few large witness social events e.g balls dances that I attended. I can only ever recall one incident where was an issue when the child of a witness turned up drunk and he was very quickly sorted. Other than that all went with out incident. I believe for the +ve that it creates e.g socializing far out weigh any negatives.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs
by Lady Lee inthw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

I have heard of 5 in the surrounding area over the years. Of those 5, 2 of them I knew personally.
