  What Do You Know About The "Illumanati" and "Gray Aliens"???

  this week i ran into 2 people (on the same day) that i know, don't know each other, and they both talked about conspiracies and the role of the "illumanati" and the belief in "gray aliens".

  the one that knew i was a witness congratulated me for my decision to stop attending meetings and believing in the witnesses.

  Interesting thread..... I was into all this stuff a few years back, no coincidence that I was smoking a lot of pot at the time. Here are some thoughts to throw into the melting pot.

  Has anyone read the Robert Anton Wilson books, especially the series 'Cosmic Trigger, and the secrets of the Illuminati'?

  Yes there is a lot of Illuminati stuff in early Russell thinking.

  And, Aliens, are they a figment of our collective imagination or something else. If they do exist then we have to re read lots of the bible in a new light. Especially the bit in Genesis about the Sons of god leaving their resting place and coming to earth..... to me that is Alien contact....

  I am open minded about all of this, however in a mind experiemnt I made myself believe in Aliens to see what it did to my world view, and it sort of made sense.

  I often wonder, if and a BIG IF.... there is some truth in the Revelation stuff, how do the witnesses really expect things to happen. They may be freaked out by spaceships and alien stuff going on, would be quite a laugh really.

  i've already exited the jws in mind and heart, and have read many comments from everyone about the book, so didn't really see the need to buy it for myself.

  however, after reading something here on the forum, i decided to order it (and the tao of pooh and siddhartha.

  ) a super-dub sits two desks away from (she and her husband knew ray and his wife, had tea with them in their room when he was on the gb, etc.

  Interesting thread. I only read it a few months ago and I have been out for about 10 years now. Even then it had a profound affect on me. After reading it I remember thinking, "So it was just another religion". Suddenly the whole thing made sense. So in a sense it did break the remaining links I did not think I had.

  Interesting comments about Ray still being a Christian, well I guess like many of us Ray found his own way, I know some of us have remained Christian, some became agnostic, some become Pagan's and others like myself like to read about it all and form our own ideas. I did find though that after the WT I did have some very anti Christian attitudes, however since reading CoC, I find these have gone, its almost as if I have managed to disconnect my feeling towards the WT with Christianity.

  I have not read 'Christian Freedom', I was put off by the title, thought it may be a bit religious, what is it like?

  LOL, Brings back memories.... A few years ago I used to have nightmares about it then wake up and remember I did not have to do that any more.

  An average group of perhaps 10 people on a Saturday morning would be lucky to place a few sets, very low productivity.

  I used to have piles of the bloody things and ended up placing most of them in the recycling bin.

  Too bad the cave art bastards didn't date their work.......perhaps it would be more believable to those who do not believe it is older than the christian view of the age of man.

  Ahhh, well check this one out, in primative script we can clearly see that early man wished his art to be dated, leaving us this stunning legacy from 12000 BC.

  Personally I believe these were simply early flip charts for corporate hunting training sessions.

  The WTS of course believe that satan went back in time and drew them to confuse gods people in the time of the end.

  This is all getting farcical...... Having read all the material here, I am unsure what would be allowed or not, how confused are the witnesses on this subject?

  Well the last thing the GB wants is a reminder of the Jackson - Witness connection, on top of all the other abuse publicity, so Carr is not doing himself any favours if he wants a position in the GB.

  This will be interesting....

  Very little news on the Jackson - JW connection in the UK, and it seems that what news there has been is balanced in that it is old news that Jackson was a JW and thrown out.

  As for the WTBS differentiating between White and Black members, its never been even considered as an issue.

  Things have been getting a bit lax of late, a slipping of standards. If elected I will bring about the following changes in policy.

  1/ Return of 10 hours compulsory service for publishers, 1000 hours for Pioneers

  2/ Two hour WT studies

  3/ Marked written reviews with scores posted for all to see.

  4/ Total ban on, TV, Any music other than the Kingdom Melodies lovingly provided by the organisation, ban on competitive sports. the internet shall be considered the work of satan that it is.

  5/ I shall reintroduce walking round town with sandwich boards, blood cards and a 10% compulsary voluntary contribution to be submitted to the group elder each Tuesday. Bank statements and payslips must be checked each year.

  6/ Sisters skirts shall be a regulation lenth below the knee.

  7/ Disfellowshipping has been a soft option, I shall bring back public burnings and the reproved shall be lovingly flogged in the car park by the service overseer.

  8/ Children must remain in their seats after the meetings until their parents take them home.

  9/ There shall be no reading of any other books whatsover, including any book published by the WTBTS prior to 1981.

  10/ It shall be a disfellowshipping offence to attend any further education.

  11/ Brothers shall not be allowed to accidentally touch the breast of a woman not his wife for more than 3 seconds, including the breasts of minors.

  12/ Child Molestors will not be tolerated and in extreme cases, where substansiated by signed witness statements of at least two observers plus video taped evidence shall be dealt with severely, yes brothers to the extent that we may remove the elders privilages from such ones.

  13/ To avoid imorral sexual relations between unmarried youngsters, we shall institute segregation of all unmarried women to a windowless room at the KH, who shall only be allowed to leave once the brothers have gone home. Arranged marriages should be encouraged from age 16.

  Yes brothers vote for me and I shall put the Fundamental back into Christianity.
