when i first heard about this it sounded like they just had a mode that was optimizing the vehicle's emission levels which sounded good.. turns out, they were detecting when a car was being tested to cheat the control system.. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-34311819.

their shares are down 19% - but larger than the financial fallout is the trust.

this is the worlds largest car manufacturer!.

I completely agree Simon.. I just have very little faith in the 'controllers'..

I think some independent industry-wide controls are needed and we need federal controllers embedded within the companies.

Yep that's gonna work.. the same as they have 'independent federal controllers' that constantly tell us that Monsanto GM foods are safe and good for us.

No one at those levels can be trusted with anything. Power corrupts. Someone along the line is getting paid off for these things to slide.

as a result, the new world translation is now available in whole or in part in over 130 languages.

to many jw's this will sound impressive.

I have a friend who is Russian, she is also a linguistics graduate.. I showed her a copy of the New World Translation in Russian.. she took it to her university professors and they said the translation was appalling and very poorly done. Practically unreadable.

hello all, i would like to first say that i am basically questioning my faith in god.

i am not negative towards the wt at all.

so honestly i am to concerned with more ad hominem attacks towards the wt because i still love the organization and the people in it.

But I haven't read a single thing that makes me believe that there is a single malevolent motive. And even if there was, what would that change, especially for me personally? I can tell you one thing, I still wouldn't spend another minute wasting my time on any internet thread or forum. Because quite frankly, even if the GB are a bunch of narcissistic wannabe powerful guys, imho, the worse thing they have done is wake up people on saturday mornings.

Oh really? You say you're trying to gain clarity but your comments show you to be closed minded and willfully ignorant. My sympathy just evaporated.

one passage of scripture that i've missed until now is 30:37 where it says how joseph got all the sheep to be stripey etc ( btw have you ever seen a stripey sheep?

Can someone who uses Chrome on a smartphone..

can you look at this list of my posts and tell me if nearly all of them are cut off on the right?.

i have been posting always using the uc browser, then decided to try chrome on an android phone and found that most of my posts are unreadable!!.

I'm using Chrome on an Ipad Air 2 and all your posts look fine both vertical and horizontal. But then I have all the ads and banners stripped so not sure if that makes a difference.
