  i sent the president, vice president, us senators, and the ny city council an e-mail regarding the silentlamb issue and the march on the 27th.

  here's the response from the white house - it's a generic response, but at least we can say 'they got a witness' .

  A good question to make JWs 'think'

  most of us have experienced the frustration of trying to convince a friend or relative that the wts is not what it claims: an organisation backed by 'god'.. of course, it is very difficult to prove a negative and a real die-hard believer will explain-away any evidence of wrongdoing by the org.

  as they are trained to do so well.. i have found it good to reverse the question and ask them:.

  "what would the wts have to do to convince you that it wasn't god's organisation?".

  Excellent question! I will definitely used on my wife and discreetly with my Dub friends. Who knows, maybe some will come to know the "truth" and leave the WTS!

  Vicki Boer trial: Friday Sept 20

  some notes from the vicki boer trial today (friday).

  the morning was taken up by testimony and cross examination of dr. silver, an expert witness in psychiatry called by watchtower.

  the basic thrust of his testimony was to minimize the trauma experienced by vicki during the four different interogations by the elders and confrontations with her abuser.

  Sex Scandal in Montana

  it has been brought to my attention that there may be a major scandal working in the billings montana area.

  it involves more than ten elders in a motel room at the district convention this summer and 14-16 year old girls.

  my information source says there is more to come with possible charges being filed, but key jw's work for social services there and are involved in the investigation.

  Isn't this just perfect? Dubs investigating Dubs for worldly governments. The pressure will be on these Social Services Dubs to cover up the incident up as much as possible since this can "bring reproach upon Jehovah's organization". Barf anyone?

  Scriptural rebuttal to disfellowshiping

  i was thinking that since most of you have experianced shunning due to disfelowshiping or disassociation, that you might have some ideas adn scriptures to show how df and da shunning is unscriptural.

  the elders were gracious enough to provide my wife with a packet to show how df'ng is scriptural and gag loving.. sean.

  By today's WTS standards CT Russel and JF Rutherford and all Bible Students or Dubs that read and believed their signed publications would be DF'd today because practically all they taught is considered apostate by current WTS teachings. Isn't that incredible?!

  GOING TO GIVE MY OWN BLOOD

  i'm going to the blood bank today to donate my own blood for my upcoming surgery.

  what's the society's viewpoint on storing your own blood?

  i don't see anything in the bible that would hint there's anything wrong with re-using your own blood.......

  I would love to donate blood. But since I'm an inactive JW in good standing, I would have to do it secretly out of fear of being DF'd. Isn't that a shame?
