Women and Men....Can they be 'just good friends'........

i regularly talk to a poster on this board via the pm system...............mainly because i like his mind.......today he suggested in reply to something i had said that basically men and women dont do friendship.........he asked the question 'why do people even bother with each other if they dont fancy each others intimacy?

'...............not that he was suggesting this about us.........but i am just wondering what you lot think.. it has been my experience to have some wonderful men friends...........i love mens company and their conversation..........now i am wondering if all those 'mates' were/are after something else............well not really........i am pretty sure at least some of them arent.. so whats your view/experience.........can men and women just be good friends.. oh and to my friend who i pm.........this is not a criticism of you.........i am interested in what others experiences are..........and i will give you a big kiss (on the cheek) one day when i see ya to make up for it.......... fi.

Men are never friends with women they don't feel some attraction towards unless they are gay.

I think there is a difference between finding your friends attractive and being attracted TO them. All my men friends are attractive men and I can appreciate that like I appreciate any beautiful thing I see, that doesn't mean I want or need to own it. I've had some of my male friends, even the gay ones, comment on my "attributes" but that didn't mean they intended to do anything about it.

Personally I feel it's about people setting boundries and having the mutual respect to stay within them that makes these friendships work.

it's official; they read the letter tonight that puts forth the new procedure.

if you find an expelled person in the field or are studying with one, you are no longer permitted to give them lit.

presumably the elders make a decision if an expelled one is regularly attending meetings, but only they can give them lit.

hhhmmm this might explain why the one sister I had who was still somewhat friendly with me is no longer so....even my niece and nephew have commented on her acting bizzare when it comes to me.

This makes me more and more glad I got out when I did...crazy shit.

Yes. Having men friends gives you a totally different perspective on things. It seems like to me....and this is just my opinion...that the women I know who have actual men friends in their lives are less crazy as a whole. My guy friends are more likely to tell me if they think I'm in the wrong or overreacting about something whereas women will usually agree with me. Not that I don't enjoy being agreed with.

I've been called a shark when it comes to businss because it is just that to me. Business is business. Bottom line is to look out for yourself, don't worry about anyone else and what they have or have not done. Don't feel overly betrayed either as I would imagne everyone else is doing the same thing. It's tough but then so is life.

When money goes missing... what do you do?

so i've got this jam jar of american coins and small bills that i've been squirrelling away for my next shopping trip south of the border.

just the other day, monday, i acquired a $20us bill and added it to my stash... and when i went to add some more coins to it this morning, the $20 bill was missing.. i'm pretty sure it was one of my teenagers.

they come into my room and do their makeup and use my bathroom on a regular basis.
