The whole situation is ironic.
The Israelis were kicked out of the land they claim to have taken by force, and demanded 'their' land back, and got it. And that was fair.
In the process, kicking out the natives. Who now want at least PART of 'their' land back. But, that's unreasonable....

This was a KID under their supervision. At the very least, he DIED because they weren't watching him. More nefarious plot details can be speculated at, but we do know that, under adult supervision, he ended up dead.

So, just to be clear on this MavMan....you are then disagreeing with what the society says about itself cited above? And the 'word for word' bit is a distraction from the issue. Do you think the org put that prohibition and print and dropped the issue? No - judicial committees were formed, and could DF people after 'prayerful consideration', those who questioned the edict would sit in front of JCs...etc.
The whole org was AGAINST transplants, then not. There is no case of 'minor adjusment to doctrine' here. Was once black, now white.

How do you defend the org flip-flopping on doctrinal issues? For example, in 1967 the org stated that it was a 'law of god almighty' that christians abstain from organ transplants. Yet, by 1980, it was not only NOT such a law, but open to a christians conscience.
Simple, clear contradiction. How can the org, inspired by god in 1967 to ban transplants, then be inspired by the same god (who never changes) in 1980 to allow them?

Ahh, Meta, you are being optimistic. Problem is that many of those falling away will feel all guilty and shit, see that their parents are still in the org, and go back. 'Returning to their own vomit', indeed!
