Were JW's ever discussed on your local radio stations?
by JH ini remember about 15 years ago when the witnesses in my town were very active going door to door, that they even talked about them on the local radio station.
once in a while, this talk show would talk about the witnesses and many people phoned and complained about them going door to door, and how pesty they were.
since over 10 years, the witnesses are hardly visible here, and i don't hear people complain as much, and they don't seem to talk about them much on local radio anymore.. i was wondering if this also happened in your area?.

Do they feel less guilty about e-mail?
by Ghosthunter inafter several years of trying to get my mother to get an e-mail account, i may have finally succeeded.
she always backed off on the subject because "the society" (bleh) has pronounced the internet as evil .

Were you ever conned by a JW financially??
by Sassy intwo years ago a 'sister' was holding a formal (so she said) and it was passed on from one email to another in the online jw world.
each one was supposed to send in installment payments with the full amount for just the formal event being $100.
a hundred perhaps even double signed up and began sending money to this 'sister'.

well.. at least she was giving them something for their money. They got the product that she was selling them.
True. It was the thought of her taking advantage of her contact that was irritating. She said It was a good idea because the sisters trusted her anyways.

I know this coment is a little off, but in some places they offer drug users money to get tubal ligations. I think that is a good idea. Even though there is so much controversy about the issue I think thats the way it could be handled.

Not directly but I knew a sister who would buy clothes that were marked down, then go around the congregation selling them at more than they were worth. She said she made good money that way. I hated her.

The case could affect abortion rights and open the door to the prosecution of mothers who smoke or don't follow their obstetrician's diet, said Marguerite Driessen, a law professor at Brigham
This is a load of BS. There is huge difference between abortion and what stupid ugly ho did!

I briefly rebounded (for 3 days) with a girl who worked for one of these companies. If they would have seen her, they would think twice about calling :)
lol I imagine they are ugly hairy girls. Or guys even.
