i may be alone here, but are you more interested in jw docrines, change of docrines, watchtowers, km's and othe jw publications now that you are an ex member as opposed to when you were a witness?.
i realised this the other day, when i was cleaning out a wardrobe and there was a "knowledge" book, i got so excited and read the whole thing, looking up scriptures as i went when they were quoted.
(this was accompanied by a soundtrack of consistant scoffs, snorts and "what the hells".?").
NO, I am not more interested now. I know, I know, I should really want to keep all my jw literature and read it daily, but I don't. I've thrown away most of it, with no regret.
I tried reading it through these past few years since I walked away, but it sickens me. Frankly, I've only read stuff from the wt since I came here...and only if I could have a great big laugh over it.
I know that there are absolute scholars who come here and really like digging into this stuff, but it ain't me, babe. I would rather go for a long walk outside and get my spiritual strength there.

Let me add one more thing...
Anyone who has to turn to the teachings of men to find God is misguided. Men are imperfect. All they can do is give you their idea of what God is about. God has been with you since the time you were conceived. You don't need a man-made religion to know him.

The questions still are there...Who am I now? What is there to believe in now? What is going to happen to me? Who will take me into there loving arms and comfort me in my day of need?
Quantum Leap, you are wrong! I believe in God and I don't need ANY MAN to tell me who he is, what he's gonna do, or what I need to do to "gain" his approval. God loves us (I know, he told me) and comforts me in my day of need.
Orphans? No, the people who exist under the control of the governing body are orphans. They look for love and have none. They look for direction and have none. They look for a spiritual life and have none. They look for salvation and have none.

She felt so bad that she hung up on you . You called her while she was still having an awful time after surgery (she even needed oxygen) and there is a button on back of the handset part of the phone, which she pressed by mistake. She hoped you would call back. She sounded so much better today. What a sweetie she is!

what would it take for you to be happy in life?
does it take the fall of the organization, or just one person?
or does it take something else completely unrelated to the witnesses?.
I have to agree with JanH. I'm happy. Just wish I lived closer to my friends.
