You mean, if I do what I'm told (swallow), I could be numbered in their ranks? That is one of my few pleasures and now I gotta stop??? Damn Watchtower studies!!!!

Xena!!! Here are my results:
My kinda guy: MOUNTAIN MAN. This outdoorsy guy is just your type! The combination of his strong masculinity and his laid-back attitude drive you crazy. (Now I know why I always asked, Are you bearded or clean-shaven? LOL)
And me: HOPELESS ROMANTIC. Your dreamy, traditional nature attracts guys who love showering you with tender words and gestures.

Hannibal, this article (Questions From Readers) came out just around the time I was getting baptised. It should have been a wake-up call, because I was infuriated to read it. I called a sister and read it to her. I just couldn't believe it. Every piece of me was saying, THEY ARE SOOO WRONG!!! All the sister could say was, wait on Jehovah. Well, I'm finished waiting.

Thanks for the update, Maximum. I'm glad to hear that Cassi is recovering well. I called her, I think, too soon after surgery. I will call again tomorrow.
Love to Cassi, and special wishes to you.

My First JW Wife
by Undecided inyesterday was the aniversary of my first marriage.
we were divorced 27 years ago, no children.
it was a good marriage untill the last few months.

Hi, Undecided. She was very pretty. Good pic. Don't know her, though.
My husband #2 did the same thing. He left me and boinked an old girlfriend. Told the congregation and me right away. It was his way out...out of the marriage and out of jwdom. He made the mistake of coming back to me, though, so we ended up getting married again and getting reinstated. Talk about one step forward and ten backward. Second marriages to the same person seldom last and ours didn't.
Hope that you have happiness now. I am happy that I don't have to deal with the fights anymore.

Disco Sucks!
by professor indoes anyone remember how the society joined the "disco sucks" movement of the late 70's?
i remember reading in the mags about how disco was created by homos and that it has an "immoral beat" (whatever that means!
) it was also mentioned not to go see "saturday night fever" because someone gets a blowjob in the movie.. in our congregation, we had a special meeting about disco because people would request disco songs at our once-a-month jw skating party at the local skating rink.

Hi Perfection, I wasn't very good at roller skating and didn't like disco, for that matter. Well, maybe KC and the Sunshine Band's "Please Don't Go".
What got me in your post was that your parents wouldn't give you a ride home if you didn't answer at the meetings. Such a loving organization. I'm getting furious, too, just thinking of that. I guess it's like conditioning a chimp with electrodes.

My Story
by Mackin ini guess it's time for me to tell my story on this forum.
my parents came into contact with the "truth" during their engagement and so i was born into a borg family and quickly "assimilated.
" the congregation i grew up in however had very liberal views on many subjects, such as higher education, secular careers, and the like.
