Outlaw, I know I'm butting in where I don't belong, but I know Crawdad and so does Sabine. He is not being cruel to her. He is angry at the situation, at what the elders did to Sabine's daughter. If anyone is being cruel, it is You Know. This is an extremely emotionally charged subject and Crawdad is still very angry with the organization (if you haven't noticed by his other posts). This anger is not directed at Sabine.

So, hope you aren't beating yourself up anymore.
I know you weren't very big on pcs. But, when you called the college wanting info on keyboarding classes, I really hoped you would take them. Even if we never get to see each other again, I just wanted you to know that I remember the good times and don't regret them.

I wanted to add, that the reason that they gave me for df'ing me was that I had had sex with my husband the night before we remarried. Lesson learned: don't tell them anything. They are only men. God knew what I had done and I still felt he loved me.

Joel, your post made me think of how, when I was df'd years back, how truly repentant I felt about my wrongdoing (I had sex with my df'd ex-husband, who I remarried the next day. We both were reinstated within a year.). When they df'd me, I cried for days. I, too, have been extremely suicidal for most of my life. I am clinically depressed and take medication for it, but the feelings of wanting to die stay with me. The three men at my committee meeting didn't take any of that into account. They were cold, uncaring, arrogant bastards in suits. As they drove me home that night (I was sobbing), they talked about what they were gonna do the next day, like I wasn't even there in the car with them. If my husband hadn't been there for me (he was so surprised that they had df'd me) and I didn't have my son to care for, I know I would have killed myself that night. I believe that our Creator knows all too well the wrongdoings that occur here on earth. If I didn't believe that he loves us and cares about us, there would be little for me to live for.

(((((((((((Lyin)))))))))) My heart hurts so much hearing these things. I lost my son to leukimia, the worst pain (I thought) I would ever experience. But, Sabine is right. If he had committed suicide because of this cruel religion and I had gone through the bs they put her through afterward, it would have hurt even more.
People kinda shuffle their feet and look like they don't want to talk about it when I've been asked about my children. How can I omit my sweet son, who was truly the best person I have ever known? Even telling them that he died of cancer puts them off. Sabine, YES, telling them what caused your daughter to take her life is the best thing you can do for them and it honors her memory. in this day in age i think people who are witches in real life have to live with various stereotypes permeated from movies, t.v.
