YYou are not telling the truth. I'd you read the watchtower you would see going there is the equivalent of apostasy... it's in your watchtower library. I was an elder. A sister in our hall was told to quit her job there immediately. If she refused a judicial committee would be formed. This was not unique. This is not allowed. Either you are trolling or you are studying with a group you think are jws.

The bad part is that most peopel do not find all this out until after baptism... then they lose family and friends.

JNJ do us alllllllllllllllllllllllll a favor. At your next meeting tell the Elders that the person studying with you goes to the YMCA on a regular basis... You will then see the crazy begin to come out in this religion. I BEG YOU to please tell the elders in your hall the person studying with you goes to the YMCA

jnj it seems you have already made a decision prior to coming here... I would suggest that you atleast remember to visit this site in a few weeks/months when you start to find out that:

You are not allowed to go to the YMCA, girl scouts and boy scouts are off limits, no fourth of july, no military pride, association with "worldly" family needing to be curtailed, when you find out Jehovah hates invitro, etc... in to infinite. I just hope that you do not alienate your family so much that they end up rejecting you when you come to your senses. Many here have 5 -50 years or more time invested before we left. JWFACTS.COM

My Dad was a Vietnam Vet before becoming a JW. Most of my uncles wer ein various branches of military. There really is no supporting them. As a JW this is not something you can do. No flag waving, no sending support etc... the best thing you can do is go to the website they are listing and read up.
