Religion VS Atheism and the decline of ethics and morals

being back in college after leaving the borg, one of the required classes for a degree at my college is ethics.

after learning a few things, i am curious where morality and ethics is heading for the future of humanity.

i wish i could find the source again, but several weeks ago i recalled reading a transcript of a very old document that talked about when christianity was being spread in europe, it brought civility and community.

I applaud you for bringing this up... I really really do. Alot of people ignore the fact that things were as bad as they were back then. By the way, I love that song. It was said everytime she performed that song she ran off stage and would throw up after. Not sure if it is true - but I can imagine how uncomfortable it must have been. <Back to the paragraph>

I do no tunderstand why no one believes that things have gotten much much better and that religion and its stranglehold on American society wis what created or fostered some of the most despicable acts ever

i read plenty of threads here.. what amazes me is how each 'theist/believer' is totally convinced that their way/cult is the correct one.

even xtians are not in agreement over doctrine.. ok. so i've heard the excuse that it's the devil's fault..............but come on.............what a cop out.. is god so incapable of giving a consistant message of which is the true way?.

i'd tend to think god doesn't exist and it's just the thoughts of deluded people with deluded ideas.............otherwise the real truth would be obvious.. god is really powerless if it/she/they/it have to rely on the game of chinese whispers..

Mhy mother will not see my children... I hate to be that guy who takes such a stance but since our last communications I see that there is no valid reason to let this happen. First off, I went against my better judgement and decided to tell her that she could see them with me being present. She does not want this since I am known to be in opposition to the WTBTS. As a pioneer what type of examnple would she be setting if she decides to go against the rules that we have in place? So with that being said I pretty much gave her the royal heave ho out of my life.

I am not going to make concessions for someones crazy cult persona or cult controlled mind. What positive will come from this for my children? None. It just isn't worth it. She left me a voice mail that is so pathetic it is amazing. She tries to play the tortured soul card as ifg I am not aware of what has taken place over the last year. This crap is pathetic
