jesus looks like an american folk singer, the governing body look like a corrupt version of an enron luncheon.. the jw's literally print different magazines for africa with african pictures, black people instead of white, to make it 'more appealing' to them.... just to be clear that means they think the opposite is true too!.

I do appreciate it. Often times I will just hear stop bellyaching. However, when you are young and its all you know and see you tend to blame all white folks. Funny thing is my best bud till I left and the best man in my wedding was a white guy. Still love him to death... that was my replacement brother

Hmmm it is possible we were in the same city. The one white family ever in our hall had about 5 or 6 kids. I can imagine it being uncomfortable for you - it is amazing how racism and prejudice is so pervasive in this religion. Suburban would have appeared super affluent to us actually ROFL.

1. Asian guys at lunch asked how they see through those slits
2. Black guys having Cavernous noses which make them have deeper voices naturally (followed by the entire table laughing at it).
3. Sausage lips and soupblowers
4. Seeing someone with something that looked cheap and being told, "So I see someone has made a trip to the chinese side of town"

hokeypokey - take it slow with family. I would first ask yourself a question, "Is my wife really firm in the truth?"
This is not as an insult, but have you ever noticed before she had questions? Has she ever seen the truth as a hindrance to anything? Does she see the rules as oppressive.
I always saw in my wife a slight tinge toward the "truth" being oppresive. As I learned things I would ask her opinion on things but not in a dogmatic fashion. Eventually I found an article that she was livid about as most women would be. We talked and it opened the door. Then alot of other things expanded the gap in the door. When I decided to leave she was a little shaky at first but within the week she understood and soon followed.

ok, so i have been on this journey for about a year or so.
i feel like i am no longer a part of this whacked out religion, however at the same time after spending so many years in it there have been a huge array of things that have happened to me that i feel i need to talk about.
not because they will help anyone who reads them, not because they are the slightest bit interesting, but because i can no longer keep them bottled up and expect to move on.. alot of things i have experienced hurt me deeply... although i was able to move forward with my life these things tend to hang around in my mind because i have never been able to tell anyone outside of my wife.

Writing it out really did help alot. THere was tons left out - but it is really just more juice and not meat.
My wife is just the best, the fact that she could look through the lies and see me for who I was is something I can never understand or appreciate enough!

They had money... which I think to them was far more important LOL. These sorts of scenarios and sly remarks took place far too often in my time in the borg. It is part of the reason I still get so upset when people talk about how nice the GB seem etc... on multiple occassions I heard the most racist and obscene things said by these guys or heard from others similar scenarios. Yet they get around the brothers not at BETHEL and they act so sweet and humble.
