  Dreamt A Little Dream

  i think i had a vision the other night..or at least the after effects of staying up for too many hours in a row...there i was in my dream walking along and i came across this big house with a big dog on the porch reading a book.

  i went up to the house and the dog told me to take my shoes off if i wanted to go in.

  i did and walked into the house to find any number of freakish looking people/creatures talking and doing chores and eating and hanging out.

  Captured Taliban Get U.S. Army Brand of Islam

  i was watching cartoons on cnn and they reported that the captured taliban being held in cuba have thier own islamic chaplain, provided by no less than the u.s. army.

  since they have a little time to reflect on being naughty boys, i was wondering if they grasp the great irony of themselves having to listen to a different brand of islam, versus making others do so.

  another perk apparently is they get the morning call for prayer over pa system.

  District Overbeer Reports on South Texas Apostates

  i'm happy to report that xena and tyydyy are upholding the name of all good apostates.

  they neglected to show me thier time cards, which may require committee action, but a good time was had by all.

  we talked into the night, went out on the town, had yummy food, and mostly basked in all the bad association.

  i ran across this website today and had a good laugh.

  the people who put this site call themselves "the family".

  it gets funnier and scarier, and at one point this little tidbit really made my day...this was a reference to signs of the antichrist..... "it is at this time that the antichrist imposes his infamous "666" one-world credit system...".

  JWs & Personal Finance

  perhaps this is not a widespread phenomenon, but have any of you considered the ramifications in regards to many jw families never saving for retirement or college funds, becues they thought the end was near, or college was a non-issue for so many of us?

  just recently my parents never saved any money, becuase the promise of the end coming soon, but as old age creeps closer, i think some of the policy is revealing itself to be really bad advice.

  i also wonder how long jws have to keep working after retirement age than the rest of the 'worldlies".

  The WT and Native Americans

  i was just browsing the officail wt site...hmmm i thought we were, but just for the sake of this post i'll admit going there.

  they have an article at the url below which i thought was hillarious.

  it talks about how the native americans are facing more and more assimilation and the destruction of thier indigenous culture by "the world".

  Pathetic Roll Call

  i thought the easiest way to share the pathetic tale of one faithful family in a different sort of way.

  we'll start at the top and work our way to myself.. grandfather mom's side=never saw him, abused his children sexually/physically, emotionally, finally got the big df and has been sighted at halls around country using different names.

  other wife/family also abused and left.. grandmother mom's side= lived w/abusive elder/alchoholic for many years, after he left for life w/other wife, went crazy, then she got cancer, but wouldn't get transfusions, or bone marrow transplant.

  Building Kindom Halls & Picking Up Chicks..

  i always got stuck going w/my dad to jw building events and for a while i thought it was a drag to have to work all weekend for free, until i started to realize there were lots of chicks running around that i could have fun with.

  that and assemblies.

  i can probably attribute that newfound fascination with jw girls from different cities as one of the biggest contributions to my eventual liberation.
