i live in a very small town, and bump into elders who hate me beyond words.

What arrogance on behalf of that elder, not even a "hello" first? In his JW mind he has every right to speak to you, you have no feelings to be considered at all?

hey i have come to love some of the discussions on here and the information.
i am currently awake and have no plans to fade, in my case i am patient enough to in time become an elder to at least help the younger friends here in my area, in the sense of helping them wake up/if elder have their back..
Welcome patient dude, I admire your ideas, but don't sell yourself short, it's a cliche but you only have 1 life, so please think about what's right for you ....and then do that.

the jws sanction the members to take various prescription drugs for mental disorders small and large, but yet they deny the science of psychology, the same people who are giving them the drugs?
is that a total contradiction or what?
Psychology offends the very heart of the WTBTS by offering solutions which have nothing to do with the WTBTS.
For this reason they would rather have everyone on meds & binge drinking, whilst still attending meetings, or just keeping quiet!

My son & his friends had the day off school when the new Halo 4 came out. We had preordered so were at the shop at 8am when it opened, he ran home from the store to start playing. His friend snuck out of the house at 'midnight & rode his bike to a 12am launch.
he said the new halo was the most exciting thing that had ever happened in his life!
We also went to the big games expo here where they had sneak previews & Cosplay. Lined up for over an hour to trial the new COD, the boys behind us in the line were almost crying with excitement. It was actually such a great energy. I loved it & we are even considering dressing up next year & going over multiple days....it's that much fun!!!
i was at the check-out counter sitting in my wheelchair, listening to the customer behind me talk to the cashier.
he looks at her and says she looks tired.
she rings through one more of my purchases and she it has been a long day.

I am facing some big challenges, and I don't know if I have the ability to do what may need to be done. But some things you have to deal with, I know, but sometimes you are just tired.
