i think the wtb&ts publication titled "the kingdom interlinear of the christian greek scriptures" speaks for itself.. the word for word translation of the greek into english.. that publication does not even contain the name or word jehovah either in hebrew letters or greek letters anywhere in the word for word texts.. their is not one scripture in the n.t.

where christians ,followers of jesus christ are instructed to be witnesses of jehovah ,however there are something like twenty scriptures that explicitly state followers of jesus christ are to be witnesses of, for, and about jesus...

Matt 4:4,7, 10 to start with and other places where he quoted from the Hebrew Scriptures.

I know the argument that the oldest Greek copies on hand do not have the DN written in those places, but just as you can tell me that I can't say for certain that the originals and those that followed up until the oldest now on hand did have the DN there, I can tell you that you can't say for certain that it was not there.

But I can add reasoning to support that it was there, whereas those that argue it wasn't there cannot support their argument that it was not.

I did not ignore or am I missing any point. The topic is to cite a Scripture in the Greek Scriptures where there is a charge for Christian's to witness for Jehovah.

The mere fact that anyone would identify themselves as an Christian is in itself already being a witness for Jesus being that an Christian is known to be an 'follower of Jesus Christ.'

If one were to truly follow him, that would mean to also do works in the name of whom Jesus said was his father and thereby also making that name known.

I agree! Why don't they start there...just make everyplace a mandatory report. That would mean that there isn't any reason to report to an elder/WTS to begin with. The victim themselves would be mandatory to report or is victim told parents/family/friends first, (especially is victim was a minor) then whomever was told first should report.

I never understood why elders are told to begin with. I have not heard a JW ever say that their car was stolen or bike was stolen or house was broken into...so they are going to an elder to tell him. No, they go straight to the police, so why when abused not go straight to police?

As shitty as the WTS is with their policies, why do most here always blame the WTS/elders for not reporting, instead of blaming the ones who reported to the elders to begin with?

If for whatever reason the victim told an elder first, then I agree that that elder should report it (especially if it was mandatory law to do so, which is why all states should all have such laws) but if an elder was not told first, then whoever was/is should be the one/s to do so.

Here is a better example of my point and of what I am questioning. Why are the following 3 names (Jehoshaphat, Jotham, Isaiah) that contain the יהוה (YHVH) in them, why do they get written out using the vowels E, O, A, so that they can be read and pronounced, but when the יהוה (YHVH) appears in regards to God’s name, instead of inserting the vowels E, O, A, in the same manner as done for those names, instead ‘LORD’ is inserted. Why not either write out the יהוה (YHVH) as Yehoah//Jehoah or write out those names as:

This is not a reply in regards to your post, but what I quoted you saying stood out in my mind to check the following.

This Greek word translates to Jesus in English:

Ιησοῦς

That Greek word translates to this Hebrew word:

ישו

That Hebrew word translates to Jesus in English.

I got that Greek word from the Septuagint where it has the name Joshua. Joshua is the shorten form of Jehoshua.

I know when I go back and read my post that I don't find that I explain clearly what I am trying to say, but I will try again.

I am saying that Hebrew names that contain the SAME letters as the 4 for God's name use E O and A and spell out Jeho/Yeho and Jah/Yah/IAH which are said to be part of God's name. Then along with the additional letters they are compound with other words with meanings such as:

[friend, shall live, will prepare, knew, contributed, judged, bestowed, high]

Example, look at the following link and you can read through them all but first scroll almost to bottom to Joram (Jehoram/Yehoram) and read what's there and then look two above that at Jonathan and notice the clear break down of (יהו, Yeho) and (נתן, natan)

That break down of Yeho is showing the first 3 of the 4 letters that represent God's name, the YHV and it is spelled to read YEHO. I don't see it showing (יהו, Yahw) as in YAHWEH, nor does it show (יהו, LORD) or (יהו, GOD)

It shows that יהו is YEHO and with the second ה (H - 4th letter) added it would be AH as in the names that have the ה at the end and are spelled YAH/IAH

It is nonsense to think that the pronunciation for the YHVH of God's name is unknown being that all the Hebrew names that contain those letters are spelled and pronounced. Those names were/are peoples names and regardless of that fact that there became a time when the name of God would not be said aloud or written out with vowel points, the people who had/have those names with the יהוה in them would have kept writing and pronouncing their own name. Likewise, people who knew those with such names would have said them.

LOL! So you are saying that the 14 names listed 5 post up are completely inaccurate translations? If what you are saying is true then that would mean that any and all words in the Hebrew language that contain the letters:

are pronounced incorrect because they are forever at a loss as to what vowels to insert for them?

I will continue on to my point and then ask you a question based on if what you say is the case.

The letters in question for God's name are these 4: יהוה

All the names in above post with prefix Jeho/Yeho have the first 3 of those letters (from right to left) and represent the Y H V. In all cases the vowel E is added between the Y and H and in regards to the V the vowel O is used out of the choices of O or U. (As I said the V is said to be a 'placeholder' for an O or U)

All the names in above post with suffix Yah/Iah have 2 of those letters that represent the Y H. In all cases the vowel A is added between the Y and H.

Following that same rule when it comes to just the יהוה YHVH, an E would be added (prefix) and V would become an O, and an A would be added to (suffix) the remaining H.

YEHOAH

If all those names "have no bearing on the Hebrew pronunciation of YHVH" because of also being "altered by abbreviation or addition of vowel sounds from Elohim or Adonai to prevent the DN from being said aloud", then why do they replace the יהוה with 'LORD' instead of just using Jehovah/Jehoah?

And why even entertain the notion that the name 'Yahweh' could have been how it was pronounced? When it comes to those SAME Hebrew letters in the others names they use the E in the prefix, replace the V with O and use A in the suffix.
