Why Jehovah`s Witnesses are wrong emphasising the name Jehovah.

hi friends, feel free to correct me where i`m wrong with this post.after all it`s just my observation of jw`s and the bible.. in the beginning of gods dealings with adam it was on a personal level , god to man so to speak.. god then dealt with humans via the patriarchs , then with the levi priesthood ,then judges ,( and a woman was a judge ) then kings ,somewhere in between all of this prophets played a major part ,and then came jesus christ the messiah.. and to my knowledge god has not validated a successor to him with any evidence i`ve seen .. jehovah`s witnesses claim to be christians but have with no new testament backing usurped jesus with jehovah.. this period of time ,until god says otherwise ,christians are to give honour and glory to none other than jesus christ .. that is the name that is above any other name until god says otherwise.

phil.2:9-11. not the name jehovah .the bible never says anything about a kingdom of jehovah ,the coming kingdom is the kingdom of jesus christ with his associate 144,000 earthly subjects.. this is just my understanding of what the bible actually says .. whether i believe it or not is another matter..

correct me if i'm wrong but about the same time this was activated was when the wt.

came out with the "we may receive instructions that may not seem practical from a human standpoint".

and it has been emphasized greatly regarding covid measures that "we must obey the superior authorities".

Neither. Jehoiakim reigned for about 11 years from 628-618 BCE and this is the best one can hope for.

Wow you really show your true colors here...it doesn't matter to you what the Bible actually says but instead only what the WTS says.

The Bible says he reigned for 11 years, not '10 years' or 'about 11 years':

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 1268 - Jehoiakim’s bad rule of about 11 years (628-618 B.C.E.) was marked by injustices, oppression, and murder. (2Ch 36:5; Jer 22:17; 52:2)]

[2 Chronicles 36:5 Je·hoiʹa·kim+ was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 11 years in Jerusalem. He continued to do what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah his God.]

[2 Kings 23: 36 Je·hoiʹa·kim+ was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 11 years in Jerusalem.+]

You misunderstand. Jehoiakim's reign was from 628-618 BCE and he was taken captive by Neb along with Daniel and others in 617 BCE which was in the 8th Neb's reign.

First let’s keep in mind that depending on the writer and based on what calendar they used and if they are counting from the assertion year or not, that the years we are speaking of are going to keep varying by 1 year. But let’s try to make a clearer picture to these dates so that we can reference to them better.

You have acknowledged above that Jehoiakim's reign was from 628-618, but the following states that he reigned for 11 years and 628-618 is only 10 years so his correct years would have to be 629-618 or 628- 617:

[36 Je·hoiʹa·kim+ was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 11 years in Jerusalem.+]

Please answer the following question so we can begin to get a clearer picture of dates/timeframe.

The following the WTS says that 625 is Jehoiakim’s 4th year:

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1 p. 1268-1269 -The fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim (625 B.C.E.) saw Nebuchadnezzar defeat Pharaoh Necho in a battle over the domination of Syria-Palestine.]

Based on them saying 625 is his 4th year and the Scripture saying he reigned for 11 years…what years do you say are the correct years:

629-618 or 628- 617?

This is not a trick question, whatever one you say we will use it as our foundation.

Neb had not yet then brought the Jewish captives including Daniel who interpreted the dream

WTS says Jehoiakim’s ruled starting in 628 so that means his 3rd year was 625 and they say Neb began ruling in 625. Daniel was taken in 625 in Jehoiakim’s 3rd year, so Daniel was in Babylon to interpret the dream during Neb’s 2nd year as king.

This text omits any specific month and reads according to the NWT: "In the second year of his KINGSHIP,(emphasis added) notice not his reign, This means that Neb's 'second year' must be viewed not in terms of his reign but from another perspective such as Babylon's becoming the new World power in 607 BCE in relation to God's people.

[Daniel 2:1 In the second year of his kingship, Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar had a number of dreams, and he* was so agitated+ that he could not sleep.]

So even though Daniel states it was in the 2nd year of Neb’s kingship, he ‘probably' meant Neb’s 20th year of kingship.

So when Neb took 3,023 Jews in his 7th year he didn’t become ‘world ruler' yet but in his 18th when he took 832 he did. And in his 23rd year when 745 Jews were taken he became 'super duper world ruler'.

Do not Jehovah's Witnesses themselves date Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the metal image to 606/605 BCE?

More proof that the WTS can twist the Scriptures anyway they want and JW’s just believe and accept it.

Notice in the following the WTS claims that 624 was Neb’s 1st official year as his kingship.

[Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2 p. 480 - In 624 B.C.E., in the first official year of his kingship, Nebuchadnezzar again led his forces through Hattu; he captured and sacked the Philistine city of Ashkelon.]

Now notice what Dan 2:1 says:

[In the second year of his kingship, Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar had a number of dreams, and he* was so agitated+ that he could not sleep.]

Okay, even though the WTS claims Neb became king in 625 (which we know it was really 605) they say 624 was his 1st official year of his kingship. So with that being said and using that date (624) then based on Dan 2:1 then Neb’s 2nd year of kingship should be 622 (623 if we use 625), so we should expect that the WTS says Dan 2:1 occurs in 623/622…but NO instead they say Dan 2:1 occurred in 606/605.

They twist the Scripture to say that he became ‘world ruler' in 607 but the Scripture reads that it was in the 2nd year of his KINGSHIP.

[Pay Attention to Daniel’s Prophecy! p. 46-48 - “In the second year of the kingship of Nebuchadnezzar,” wrote the prophet Daniel, “Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams; and his spirit began to feel agitated, and his very sleep was made to be something beyond him.” (Daniel 2:1) The dreamer was Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the Babylonian Empire. He had effectively become world ruler in 607 B.C.E. when Jehovah God allowed him to destroy Jerusalem and its temple. In the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign as world ruler (606/605 B.C.E.), God sent him a terrifying dream.]

--When you have resolved the 586/7 controversy then can you speak of intellectual honesty

scholar, you speak on the discrepancy of 587/586 but you ignore the one with the WTS 607/606.

I have showed that the years the WTS has for Jehoiakim are 628 –618

There is no need to dissolve anything as this doctrine is sound well established as part of Bible prophecy and confirmed by the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 CE.

The WTS say that in Oct 1914 is when Jesus became king and the first thing Jesus (Michael) did was throw Satan out of heaven to the earth which meant WOE for the earth. They say WW1 is evidence of that WOE. Here is the thing though, WW1 started in June/July of 1914.

WW1 began on July 28, 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand occurred on June 28, 1914.

The WTS says Jehoiakim ruled 628 –618, that being the case then his 4th year would be 624 and would also be Neb’s 1st year making his 18th year 606.
