  anyone close to there?

  i will be there from july 22nd til the 28th.

  my hubby will be in meetings all day so i will need to keep myself entertained.

  Thanks to Lonelysheep, Isaacaustin, Betterdaze and Neonmadman for the meetup yesterday. I enjoyed meeting all of you. Lonelysheep, I wish you could have stayed a bit longer. My husband took me to a wonderful Italian restaurant last night that a local recommended called Casa Bella (http://casabella46.com). Sorry I don't know how to make the link work but it was absolutely fabulous. Luciano, the manager, was a delight! You really owe it to yourselves to check it out. Ask to be seated upstairs overlooking the lake, very romantic. Anyway, thanks again!

  I need a new drink

  i usually drink red wine but sometimes when i'm out i want something mixed.

  i recently was turned on to southern comfort and sprite and really like it, but would prefer something without soda in it.

  1-day district conventions

  i heard from a very reliable source that the wts is going to start having 1-day district conventions at the assembly halls.

  has anyone else heard this?

  a family member was at the assembly hall for a meeting and the brother stated that soon they would be meeting for their 1-day district conventions there..

  ok, so i keep reading on here how the wts was associated with the un.

  i had never heard anything about this.

  i guess i shouldn't be surprised, since the un is the "beast" and i know the wts would never let the congregations know they were in bed with them.

  oh how i wish i had thought to make a copy of the Society's reply to us (on the BOE) on this issue.

  Snakes, obviously you were an elder at the time...is this what opened your eyes or was it something else? The reason I ask is that I spoke to a couple of elders in my congregation back then about it and wondered if any thinking elder would see this as a huge omise on the WTS part like I did.

  It's probably an unofficial capacity even though she is probably the one with the most brains. Only elders can be on the RBC, I don't think the WTS will ever allow elderettes.

  wow, my husband it totally freaking out on me.

  i presented an ample amount of information that i found about birthdays (this happened to be the topic under discussion).

  mind you, i presented info from only the wt and awake.

  He's freaking out because his whole belief system is being attacked. It's a very weird feeling to think that something you believed in for so long is a lie, it takes time to assimilate the info. My 15-year-old son (now 25) freaked out when he caught me reading "Crisis of Conscience." He started crying and I felt so terrible, but it didn't take him long to start opening his eyes and see the truth about "the truth."
