I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, I know you will miss her greatly. As I think you know, I try to keep an open mind about afterlife, immortality, other planes of existence, etc....because we simply don't know! I found your account heartwarming also, and I'm so glad you found joy in the experience. I hope my children could feel the same when my time comes, and I hope they are by my side, with love, as you were with your mom.

The Simpson's is one of our ALL TIME favorite shows. I've seen the episode you're speaking of, it's hilarious. I hope you enjoy it. Just remember....Homer Simpson is an EXAGGERATION of a typical American male, ok??? this is our first christmas as a family after leaving the cult that defiles gods name.
its been a good year, not only have we left the cult but so have most of our family.
its wonderful to finally be free of the hateful/doublefaced society and to finally see how others worship the almighty god.

We saw it last night. Both myself and my two 17 year olds thought it was AWESOME!
I was so worried that I would be disappointed with the conclusion of the trilogy, but of all the books made into movies I've seen...I have to say they did the best job on this one. They didn't leave out any relevant details, the fight scenes were incredible, Gimli had several funny one line zingers, Aragorn is easy on the eyes...but I'm with Dana, LEGOLAS! He could "rescue" me any time.
