Michael176 and KIMSILVIO ,and to anyone else who is pretty new to this forum ,i would advise not to send anything personal to someone who like you is pretty new to the forum .
I would suggest you wait to hear from someone who is a long standing member of this forum and interact with them just to be on the safe side .
I don`t mean to demonize KIMSILVIO or mean any disrespect to him ,just that he is also new to this forum and we cant gauge either of your intentions.
This post is just to inform all to be a bit more cautious in posting.
On the other hand ,can I welcome both of you to this forum as it is a great site with many informative people here ,I have learnt a lot more about JW`s on here even though I was active for 32 years

for argument sake let’s assume that this verse should apply to 1914. what are your thoughts on generation?.

I can relate to 3 Bible accounts that indicate a generation is Approximately 50 years in length. So if 1914 was correct the generation of 1914 would end about 1964 .
WT / JW predictions weren`t fulfilled in that year.

= 2016 years
Divided by 42 generations = 48 years, for 1 generation

. 76 generations from Adam to Jesus = 4024 years
76 divided into 4024 = 53 years for 1 generation

Luke 21: 20-24
Jesus died 33 AD prophecy fulfilled in 70 AD well within a generation of 50 years

the 16-18 of june 2022 in quebec city, laval university, canada, there will be a conference organized by cult apologists cesnur (european) and info-cult/info-sectes (canadian).

some famous cult apologists (massimo introvigne) will be there and some jw mid range leader from ontario david docksteader too.

Could this be a JW media venture?

i'm wondering if this is another step in wt branching out into attempting to profit through media production.

last year they already registered their hollywood style company "jw studios" as an llc, unlike their other corporations which are non-profit.. ( more information on that here: https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5740817149853696/jw-studios-llc-commercial-purposes ).

now, i see this video of a wt spokesman.

To my Knowledge the "Greens" are not in power so ?

I have been in a congregation or two that were very conservative in their lifestyle.
I have also been in a congregation or two that were very liberal in their lifestyles.
Before I converted to the religion I was a problem drinker and had taken steps to rectify it and was surprised after a couple of years to find in these more liberal congregations that their were a few heavy drinkers among them as Elders .My wife and I were in the clique with Elders and MS as I was and I still managed to keep my drinking under control as I still do 25+ years after leaving the religion.
So it wouldn`t surprise me at all about the genuineness of the OP and being accurate and true.

I was a convert at 20 convinced my then GF it was the "truth" ,we got married in a KH about 18 months later and remained in it for 32 years both ,been out since 1993 ,celebrated our 61st wedding anniversary in Feb.
As nicolaou says maybe it was despite being JW`s .
Both my son`s marriages took place in the "struth" and both failed after a few years .
One son remarried a sister and after a short while both left the religion and have remained happily married for many years.
The other son left the religion and married out of the "struth" and remains happily married for many years now.

I guess "All" forms mean cart witnessing , incidental , letter writing ,informal , which amounts to the same as incidental ,what else is there ? Phone witnessing ? E-mailing ?
