I knew a couple who moved to WA either in the 60`s or 70`s from Williamstown Melbourne .

An Elder / PO and his wife and young Daughter , Ron Sandilands was his name .

Ever heard of them ?

The question`s GOD beleiver / Creationists ignore or don`t / won`t / can`t answer ?

the common thread of beleivers / creationists of a god creating life is design .. and if something / anything is designed it must have a designer ?.

however this reasoning is discarded when talking about the existence of god.. and if such a being as god somehow existed without a designer why not all forms of life itself as existing on earth ?.

And if such a being as GOD somehow existed without a designer why not all forms of life itself as existing on Earth ?

Coming into existence without a designer ?

And if such a being as GOD exists why only one ? If one such being exists why not many ?

This is just some of the reasons I cant beleive in a GOD. am I alone with such thinking ?

I welcome beleivers in a personal GOD to respond as I would like to hear what you have to say.

i was in the jw's till about 1999 in perth.

i sort of thought the advice "never complain and never explain" was appropriate, so i just stopped going to the kh!

Hi Jon , I`m fro the SE coast of Victoria ,I got the "struth" in Melbourne when i was about 20 YO .

Yet I also lived in a Northern suburb of Brisbane for 37 years before moving down here.

I knew a couple who moved to perth to serve where the need was great in the 70`s I think R S was his initials ?

I have been free of the cult since ` 93

PS .My first cong. was Central ? then Metropolitan ? in Melb, and my last was in Redcliffe Qld.

Was / Is God biased ? prejudiced against certain Peoples / Tribes or Nations ?

let me explain :.

after the creation account of the bible, tribes of people and nations began to form and spread around the land.. god first chose noah and his family to protect them as he destroys all others in the flood.. and he ticks off everyone in babel ?

and then he favours abraham and his descendants as the nation of israel culminating in the jewish lineage to jesus the son of god.. he has never had any dealings with any other people`s or nation isn`t that some form of favouritism ?

I have to admire your faith and conviction Sea Breeze , but I just can`t beleive because someone is so sure of their faith and conviction ,then it must be true.

Because life has taught us that time and time again faith and beleif is no sure guarantee that what you beleive is true.

Not Reporting Child Abuse Should Be Prosecuted

anyone who works with children and does not report child sexual abuse should be prosecuted, the final report of a huge, seven-year inquiry has recommended.. this could be huge for elders in the uk.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63318342.

I should note that the recommendation regarding 'mandated reporters' would not include Jehovah's Witnesses as they are neither a regulated activity in relation to children, nor in a position of trust (as defined by the Sexual Offences Act 2003).

Hasn`t that been the loophole the JW religion has used in the past and gotten away with it ?

And that loophole needs to be closed .

I agree ,and these types of articles from the media in my opinion should be copied and pasted on social media to as wide an audience as can be reached because it`s not just JW children who are at risk from these predators but it could also include children from the wider community.

The wider general public should be informed and aware of the potential dangers that the Jehovah`s Witnesses religion could have on their children because of the policy`s they have of not reporting Known cases by members in their own religion to the appropiate authorities.

a simple " me" if you dont want to say more--or a short explanation about who is shunning you and how long has this been going on.. i'll set the ball rolling: my daughter--her husband and children; my younger son --no contact from them for 40 years...because i left their religion.. (edit--i just noticed the typo in the header--if should be of ).

My niece has shunned her mother and sisters and my family for many years now because we left the religion.

That`s her choice and her loss.

i just had an incredible phone conversation with a long-time jw who has strong "q-anon" "sovereign citizen" beliefs.

the wife(first gen) says she is not surprised.
