  How is that not a felony? By covering up a crime they are basically accessories to that crime.

  The law recognizes that is a crime ,the sad fact is the the JW religion only recognized it as only a sin .

  Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t class their Elders as a clergy class yet they invoke the clergy penitent law in a court of law when it suits them .

  Yet because of the Elder arrangement of 3 Elders to be present in a judicial meeting with a congregant and then referring what takes place with their legal profession ,that makes the clergy penitent law invalid.

  i was raised as a jw and i was in the "religion" for three decades.

  i was an ex-jw for five years before i started to no longer even regard myself as an ex-jw, just as a person.

  Please don`t underestimate the power that so many years in a high control group/religion can have over you .

  ,It can take many years to come to terms with as you deal with it.

  I hope you stick around as this is a great forum to be able to vent and get a sympathetic ear, and a lot of encouragement.

  A New Member of the Governing Body

  On Wednesday morning, September 5, 2012, it was announced to the United States and Canada Bethel families that a new member had been added to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Effective September 1, 2012, Mark Sanderson began to serve in that capacity.

  Brother Sanderson was raised in San Diego, California, U.S.A., by his Christian parents and was baptized on February 9, 1975. He began to serve as a pioneer in Saskatchewan, Canada, on September 1, 1983. In December 1990, he graduated from the seventh class of the Ministerial Training School (now called the Bible School for Single Brothers) in the United States. Brother Sanderson was appointed to serve as a special pioneer on the island of Newfoundland, Canada, in April 1991. After serving as a substitute circuit overseer, he was invited to become a member of the Canada Bethel family in February 1997. In November 2000, he was transferred to the United States branch, where he worked in Hospital Information Services and later in the Service Department.

  In September 2008, Brother Sanderson attended the School for Branch Committee Members and thereafter was appointed as a member of the Philippines Branch Committee. In September 2010, he was invited to return to the United States, where he served as a helper to the Service Committee of the Governing Body.

  elders, Michael Penkava, 72, and Colin Scott, 88, were found guilty of Class A criminal misdemeanor for violating provisions of the state’s mandatory reporter law. They each face up to one year in jail when sentenced March 25.

  It`s a pity this has only come to light now and not when they were younger ,however ,up to one year in jail doesn`t seem anywhere near long enough for what they should receive.

  I could argue that what happened back then doesn`t apply to Jehovah`s Witness religion as it didn`t exist back then .

  It applied to "The International Bible Student`s Association" IBSA .that still exists to this day.

  Those that formed the JW religion was a breakaway mob that was formed in the mid 1930`s and can`t lay claim to what occurred prior to that date.

  "Midnight Mass" on Netflix

  i watched the 7 part series and finished today .what struck me about the show was how one could cherry pick scriptures to believe whatever you want to believe.. the use of scriptures to back up the beliefs was in my mind an eye opener.. ok so it was over the top and a horror supernatural series with a bit of blood and gore,and if your a bit squeamish about that sort of thing close your eyes till those parts are over .. but what i found fascinating ,intriguing,was how one of the main characters used scriptures to enforce her understanding of how they applied to the here and now of the series.. cherry picking of scriptures to believe what you want to believe,with a little help from a priest ,pastor ,organization.. i would recommend it ,as you can easily see how, their are now more than 40,000 different christian sects in the world including the mainstream ones who believe they only have the "truth".. i welcome your thoughts if you have seen it.. ps.

  obviously their are no jw`s on this island ..

  But what I found fascinating ,intriguing,was how one of the main characters used scriptures to enforce her understanding of how they applied to the here and now of the series.

  Cherry picking of scriptures to believe what you want to believe,with a little help from a Priest ,Pastor ,Organization.

  I would recommend it ,as you can easily see how, their are now more than 40,000 different Christian sects in the world including the mainstream ones who believe they only have the "truth".

  I welcome your thoughts if you have seen it.

  PS. Obviously their are no JW`s on this Island .

  growing up around the faith, whenever i heard something taught, i'd always think there is a different way of looking at that, probably better.. we always hear "this good news of the kingdom will be preached... " matt 24:14.. so i think, is there more to it than preaching the kingdom?.

  I appreciate you have your Christian belief ,I`m speaking from a JW`s perspective ,their message of the "Good News".

  Having said that ,I would still maintain that In Muslim countries the majority of Muslims have never of or understood the Christian message,previously nor do I see it ever happening in the future.

  "This Good news of The Kingdom" has never ever been preached in all the Earth and never ever will be .

  Billions of people in many parts of the earth have never ever heard of it and never will.

  After 2000 years of Christianity and it`s nowhere near ever being fulfilled as a prophecy ,it should be obvious even to blind Freddy .

  And if GOD never foresaw this ,then what does that say about GOD ?
