  Do You Think We Will Ever Get Back To “Normal”?

  i hope that within the next several months we will get back to some type of normalcy.

  will restaurants ever get filled again?

  will you ever be able to sit at a bar or go to a concert or broadway show?.

  Of course everything will get back to normal eventually it always has and always will.

  Hasn`t it always in the past ? The world has gone through pandemics before and we are still here and we will go through them again in the future .

  Actually getting through this pandemic will go a long way in helping us to fight whatever new pandemic threatens us in the future .

  Science and technology in the field of medicine is always advancing .We have come a long way in fighting diseases that have been a major cause of death through the centuries and have virtually eradicated many of those diseases .

  I`m confident and positive for the future .

  i'm reading babylon the great has fallen, god's kingdom rules, published 1963. this was studied years ago when i was about 10-12 years old.

  i wanted to just read some of the beliefs from decades ago.

  my wife wants to know why i'm reading this book.

  I think the green book "Your Will Be Done On Earth" would be a good book to show how the religion is full of shit when it comes to interpretrating prophecy and everything else.

  The U.S.S.R. the king of the North & the U.K./ U.S.A. as the king of the South. during the "Cold War" period.

  Those of the younger generation if you haven`t ever read this book I reccommend it ,its a fascinating read that did seem to fit the times we were then living in back then ,but of course its " old truths" now.

  That phrase always fascinated me ,how can a new truth when it has been first delivered become an old truth?

  OH, when that new truth fails to come to fruition ,then it becomes an old truth.

  OH Sea Breeze that`s funny,HA HA ,I hope they never take him off JW.Org.I think he will do a marvellous job of preventing new ones from joining and help older ones in getting out.

  I was considered Elder material a few times while I was a MS ,but I was not interested in becoming one.

  My wife and I were in a clique with Elders and MS in a liberal progressive congregation and things that I picked up in conversations however obscure ,I did not want to be involved in it

  Plus the fact I believed it carried a heavier burden which I didn`t want.

  I believed I knew my limitations .

  Resurrection, Reconstruction? What is it? It never made sense to me. Your opinion.

  i never had much faith in whatever resurrection was.

  what appealed to me about jw doctrines was the rejection of the "it's a mystery" defense of the indefensible.

  when i would ask how going into non existence could be reversed when all the atomic parts of who we are had been scattered for thousands of years, the answer was "jehovah can do anything".

  When I was a witness i never gave it much thought about it and just accepted it in faith.Later however I had different views about it .The wages of sin is death and I understand that to be the Adamic death brought about by Adam and Eve`s disobeying god.There are a few times in the Bible where a resurrection has occurred ,and if that is the case they should be still walking around now. What other scriptural basis is their for humans to die ?

  Sin and imperfection is the result of Adam and Eve disobeying God ,and the wages of sin is death.

  Another thought is that modern science and technology in the medical field has enabled many people to be brought back to life after they have clinically died ,so they too should be still walking around among us but sadly many of them have also since died a second time.

  A second death ?

  And doesn`t that open up another can of worms ? for the WTB&TS ? to explain that ? With relatives of faithful Brothers and sisters who have gone through this ordeal ?

  My parents died from the corona virus

  both my 84 yr old jw father and my never my jw mother 82 with both together died from the the corona in 24 hours of each other.

  i can tell many fighting i have had here in the last 20 years.on this site .

  i juy hope they rest in peace.

  Trouble in paradise!

  just for fun, some thoughts about the paradise teaching:.

  will all the carnivores be transformed anatomically?

  if a lion is transformed into a herbivore would it still be a lion?

  If billions of people are resurrected, you're going to need mass-production of clothing, food, shelter, etc. Mass production = assembly lines, shift work, etc. Again, who gets stuck with those crappy jobs? And why them?

  How will the G.B. be able to control everybody on the planet ? TV`s ,P C`s ,no electricity and if you do have these things you need materials and factories to produce them and infrastructure roads and transportation to get them to everybody .

  The printed paper such as books and letters etc.? Again you need paper,ink , machinery,power etc,etc.that needs to be manufactured by a workforce and again transport is a problem because there will be no ships to cover the seas ,no airplanes to fligh across oceans and if they existed they would also need a workforce to operate them night and day.

  And without all of the mod cons we all take for granted today to be gone Paradise would soon become a living hell here on earth.
